Is it ok to take both antidepressent and sleeping pills?

I want to know if it is ok to take sleeping pill with my medication for depression.  If anyone knows and/or are taking them let me know.

I wont advise you to take adtidepressants and sleeping pills at the same time, as they contain the same effects because of similar ingredients. I was taking TOFRANIL and once, I did the mistake for taking sleeping pills= because I was depressed, I could sleep= but then, I started getting severe headaches after some time, so I consulted my doc, she told me I shouldnt have done that all of a sudden, but instead, should have contacted her. Since that: ONE THING AT A TIME!!!

Did not your Dr prescribe them for you? If not, call him/her. I take four different kinds at night. Trazodone, Wellbutrin, Lyrica and Lunesta.

You should never mix any medications prescript ion or OTC's (over the counter) without consulting with your doctor before hand.

If you dont mind me asking, What do you Wellbutrin for?  Just for sleeping or depression?  I take Wellbutrin XL for my depression. 

I was just wondering because i was thinking about talking to my therapist but I wasn't really sure if i should or not.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication together. If the sleeping tablets were provided by your doctor, you should have been informed that its ok or not to take them. It is never wise to mix medications without knowing about them first so seek advice.
