Hi all can this really just be depression,
My Symptoms.

Persistent Diarrhoea about 5 weeks plus,
Cough almost permanent,
Running nose & shivers,
Pain in upper & lower back & chest,
Extreme lethargy & fatigue sleeping up to 18 hrs,
Pains in legs & like pins & needles & slight unbalanced,
Weakness & pain in left arm,
Lack of concentration & memory & blurry vision,
Very sore & swollen throat,
Nausea & sweating,
Lack of appetite,
Rash on chest & face,
Breathless
No interest in doing anything,
Everything’s a real effort I just cant stop shaking,
My Medication.Arthrotec 75 one tablet 3 times daily,
Sertraline 100mg one tablet at night,
Zopiclone 7.5 mg one tablet at night

I am now scared as ive been off 6 weeks and am going to lose my job it cant get any worse, took all my effort to type this,I havent ate for 3 days, whats going on im ruining my family life help take care all tony

Went too the docs today, he said after all the blood tests weve done,
And the chest xrays, he doesent wnt to look else where yet, he said he would rather stregthen my dose of sertraline he hasnt done so yet, and stop other meds , felt like phoning ambulance some days, I have got too admit been through a lot of serious problems losing business 4 years ago & then bankrupcy in march, but I cant take much more.feeling awful

Hi tony, I am so sorry that your feeling so bad.  There are things that you having listed that most certainly can be depression related but I am not a doctor and don’t feel comfortable saying on way or the other.  I would recommend that if you’re feeling that bad you should get to the doctor ASAP or call that ambulance if necessary.  You could have some medical problem going on that needs to be checked out.

Please keep us posted on how your doing...my thoughts are with you.

I am sorry to hear you are so miserable right now. I wish I had some advice for you but I really don't. i just wanted to tell you tohang in there. Go tot he Dr as many times as you need until you feel you are getting the answers you need, get 2nd opinions if you want to. I have experienced so manys ymptoms with my depression at different times, many of which you listed. Good luck.

Have you had your thyroid checked? You seem to have A LOT of the symptoms of hypothroidisim. Depression is also one of them. Even if you have had your TSH checked and your levels are considered "normal" by your doc, I would do more research. There are many in the medical field who believe the TSH is not the best way to test for this. I was dx recently so feel free to ask me more.

My endocrinologist checks my tsh and t4 levels for my hypothyroidism. I would change doctors if you are getting nowhere with yours. But I would definately call one. I have had to file bankruptcy too and know how hard financial problems can be. I hope you are feeling better soon.

thanks for the reply, im trying too buck up now as i dont want too ruin christmas for the daughter and wife I even had hiv test on monday , I was feeling that ill ,hope your coming round im going too beat this some how just wish could stop going too toilet and smile anyway,
going too try and have a good christmas with family I have had the odd drink but very little,

Sorry that u are having a rough time tonyc i too have had the runs for 5 days now, shakes, muscles aches, could be the flu. Check with your doc if u have one and keep in touch ok Twiggy2

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I went through a very similar situation as you and I know from experience that not eating makes everything so much worse.  I got to the point where I had lost close to 30 pounds but I was never hungry and even when I would eat I would feel sick and even worse after I ate, but luckily I had some people around me that would literally force me to eat and once I got my calorie intake back I was shocked at how much better I felt, not at first but a couple days into it.  Get some Ensure if you have to but please eat, you will get better trust me.

Hope you start feeling better. I had all those symptons a year ago when my husband was fighting cancer. I really started losing weight. I kept little tubs of jello, applesauce, yogurt and Ensure. As I got better my weight came back. Yesterday morning there was the nausea, chills and all the rest. I am making an appointment with a therapist as I believe I can use the help. I lost my husband in the spring and had to put a dog to sleep a month ago and have found out I have a bulged disc. I'm taking pool theraphy for that. I was doing so good, but think it became a bit to much. Hang in there. A good doctor can be a lot of help. LOL, Dee

hi all happy new year, havent been on pc for a while sorry,
just a quick line after hope some of us are feeling better
after 7 weeks on sertraline still had persistent bad stomach and dia? so went back too docs first time he upped the sertraline from 100mg to 150mg,
Things just got worse including the depression, maybe due to feeling so ill went back yesterday he has now put me on
dosulepin 75mg at nite is this ever going to end do they really know what there doing I hope so he has booked for counselling but when ? still off work 8 weeks now feel like a guinea pig take care all tony x
