Are these meds that you are looking up on the net? Or is your doctor actually talking to you about them?

Hi sunnivara..I had never heard of this natural med 'Rhodiola Rosea' until I just looked it up on the net just now..sounds kinda interesting..are you thinking seriously about trying it?

I'm thinking about trying it. Articles look interesting and I've read a few forum posts (other forums, not here) from people who had very good results from it. But it seems to be fairly new in the US so there's not much info on long-term effects.
I'm tapering off Zoloft. (Down to 25mg and doing ok so far) It's not doing what I want and I'm tired of feeling like a zombie for little benefit. I have not asked my PCP about RR. She is a Big Pharm puppet and thinks all natural rememdies are just placebo effects. I have a Naturopathic Doctor I see for my thyroid so I'm going to ask her about it next time I see her, which is in a couple weeks.

I have tried Rhodiola, but the effects aren't noticable for me. It might help slightly with stress, but not enough for me to notice. Maybe you have to be on it for a certain amount of time before you feel the effects, like SSRI's. I haven't been on it long enough to find out.

One thing I do recommend is Ashwaghanda, I have read many testimonials with positive results.
