This depression is just too hard I really want to give up.  Am calling t now before it escalates.

T called me back already I am over the hump not feeling distrutive anymore. Calling her was one of the hardest things to do.

I know it is hard to ask for help. But,everyone needs a little help sometimes.

Hi Star,

Its good that you can still recognise when you need to call the therapist and that he/she is able to help you over the telephone. Please keep talking to us and stay strong.

WE all need a little help sometimes so good job calling. See if your therapist can work on CBT with you. It is really helpful for anxieties and depression.

Hi

Just want to let you know that I had therapy yesterday and we are going to start two times a week instead of one. I am feeling a lot better, I was put on new meds about a month ago and I think they just kicked in. But I am so sad about Glynis so very sad. Just wondering how long the sadness last?

Hiya Star,

The sadness last different times for different people so its very difficult to put a number on it. I am glad that you are feeling good about the therapy though and that your meds are kicking in. Hopefully this will be the start of the beginning for you and the light at the end of the tunnel is drawing closer

I am so glad that you are feeling better. Isn't it great when we can wake up and actually look forward to the day?

I lost my best friend 6 years ago to sucide. We had known each other since 6th grade and it devastated me.
I still get very down on her birthday and the day she left us.
Grief goes away slowly. You remember the silliest things,and you will have bad days. That is normal. I hear songs that remind me of her and sometimes have to just stop what I am doing and grieve.
All you can do is take it one day at a time.

It's the little things like this weekend I was in a store and saw some funny cards and I thought" I have to get some more cards for Glynis" then I remembered she wasn't around any more. Shy I am so sorry that you lost a friend to sucide, I did too I had just seen her the night before. It was very hard so I do know what you are going through. I think we will always remember them in specials ways.

I know what you mean Star..it is weird how they can sneak up on you with the memories or small thoughts.
They are always in our hearts and my biggest relief is that they are not in pain anymore.
