Two People~
Welcome to our forum. It is here where you will truly find comfort and great advice from people that truly care about you.
I took Cymbalta for awhile but unfortunately it didn't work well for me. I am not sure of the type of depression or to what degree it is but I have had depression for over 20 years. I have been on ver 40 different meds including Lithium way back when I was diagnosed in 1986.
Here I am all these years later and I am on Lithium again. At first I felt hopeless like my mental health stabilization was going full circle with no great repreave and I thought for a while that it was hopeless.
I am treatment-resistant and have done the med route and ECT and VNS, I still fight everyday.
Therefore, to get me stabilized there is a great amount of trial and error for me.
Currently I am doing ok where my depression is in check and I feel able to function more than I have for several years. My doctor has me on several meds but there is a combination of 2 that have been shown to be 80% effective for major edpression.
It is Lithium and lamictal. It has helped me, ask your doctor about it.
Hope this helps
