Ican't believe I found this site It was a miracle.I have gained so much weight , I have been on Zoloft for at least 10 years and the weight keeps pileing on I am 5ft 4' an I weigh 245lbs, I look a mess and I am tired of it. starting tommorow i am going to wean myself off them, I will call my doctor first . Thank you all so much.

Hi Seblynnana,

I just wanted to pop in and welcome you to the Healing Well depression forum. I think that your doctor could probably put you on a different anti depressant that would not cause weight gain. I am glad that you are calling your doctor before you start going off of the zoloft.

There is a wonderful group of people here and I am sure that you will find this an enjoyable place to come.

I too want to welcome you to the forum,we are very glad that you are here.

As Karen said,your doctor can put you on a different med. Please don't try to wean yourself off of it without help, in fact they will probably put you on something else as you are weaning off of the other med.
