my name is michelle i'm eighteen and i'm bipolar i'm usually in those boards but i do suffer from pst and major depression, i've been dealing with depression since i was six and i grew up with a very difficult childhood... i grew up to quickly actually i never really had a childhood but i have no regrets and i wouldn't trade my life or anything from my past for anything better, if i hadn't gone through what i have i wouldn't be where i am today, i wouldn't want to go to college after high school to become a social worker and help others... i didn't like my life sometimes i still don't but i know i've gotten through things before and i will continue to get through things.

 

i love to give advice and help others, i'm terrible with giving my self advice or taking advice but if you drill me with it enough i'll eventually take it.

It is good to hear that you don't want to trade your childhood for something else, I think it would cause a lot more pain if you did.

Thank you so much for the introduction and sharing yourself with us.  You are very wise for someone so young but please remember it is okay to reach out and ask for help when you need it.  This is a wonderful forum full of members who are always willing to listen and support.

Welcome to Healing Well. I am happy that you found us. We are all the same way, can give advice, but can't take our own advice that we give to others. So that is normal.

Welcome to our forum!
I am sure you will be able to help us with great advice. We have alot of our members that suffer from bipolar and have alot of questions.

You are a 'survivor' Michelle yeah  Be proud of who you are - and the fact that you wanna help others is fantastic!

None of us are brilliant at taking advice from others....sheesh - it's a human failing lol...but sometimes people give advice in such a way that a little light comes on within us - and suddenly we see things clearly for the first time...and that is where I have found that the HW forum to be an excellent source of info. and help :)

Keep posting Michelle - I look forward to reading of your progress.
