I heard there was a forum for dissociative identity disorder somewhere on these forums but when I went to join it said must be approved or something like that. Now I cant even find it. Does anyone know about this? Could a moderator or someone please tell me what I need to do to be approved for that forum? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I am rather new to all this forum stuff so it is a bit confusing still.

The closest thing to dissociative identity disorder that I know of is the bipolar forum. Maybe you have it mixed up with another forum??? You are so welcome here to keep posting.

Keep posting here, it is relatively easy. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it. I think that you will find much support and comfort here.

Hi there,

We dont really have a forum for DID, Schizophrenia or any such disorders. Partly because there is little demand (As far as I know) and partly because this is a public forum and there are certain insurance factors to consider since we have minors who use the site.

We have a great network of forums here though who would help and support you. Although we do not have a specific forum for you, many of us have mental health experience in one form or another so we are still able to help you.

I think Kitt has made a really good point there about talking to us. Many people on the Depression Forum wont understand DID and some may not have even heard of it, but the fact that you are being open and honest when you talk is good for the soul. Sometimes its not the responses that count, its the fact that someone has listened. I know a reasonable amount about DID as I am a Psychology Graduate so I might be able to help somewhat.
