prozac working within days?

i just started taking prozac 10mg 4 days ago and my bf says he noticed i'm not as moody as b4 and i was xtremely moody b4 the prozac,i also feel like nothing much really bothers me anymore,could it be having an affect on my brain so fast?

Some antidepressants are noticable right away, but the full effects take four to six weeks. But yes you can notice a difference right away. Which is good. And should only get better. I am happy for you.

My prozac actually is the only one sure anti-d to work that fast. I have been on prozac for over 20 years and it still works well for me.

Whatever you do though, do not stop taking it!!!!! Just because you feel better, doesnt mean you dont need to take your medicine.

I am glad if your med is working that fast but it also could be just knowing you have a medication to help you that is doing the trick too. Most AD's will take 4-6 weeks to work at there full capacity so kudos to you if you are doing well. I am very happy for you.
