just switched Drs b/c the one I was seeing left the practice. I am currently on 0.5 mg ativan x 2 per day and 75 mg of wellbutrin x 2 per day. Been on this combo for about
3 years now. The new DR says it is time to get off those two and put on Paxil.
Now he said to take ativan only when needed and gave me 30 0.5 mg pills to taper from. However I think this is not enough because the schedule I want to follow on line would require about 60 pills for taper off ativan over 2 months.
I am supposed to take .375 mg of wellbutrin x 2 every other day and 2 75 mg x2 per day every other day.
Then second week only .375 mg x 2 per day
Third week .375 mg per day and 1 paxil per day.
Fourth week just take Paxil.
I never really thought the wellbutrin was helping (just helping me not gain weight) and tha the ativan helped the most. The day after I started to take ativan I felt immediately better. Wellbutrin I didnt notice any change.
Is the paxil going to help out with the withdrawal side effects from the ativan and wellburtin? Does the wellbutrin tapaering schedule sound reasonable?
Thanks for your help and support through this time!
