Support groups are very different than group therapy. In a support group, you all are there to support eachother, everything is pretty positive and everybody is really understanding. The group will help you.
In group therapy, everybody has their own problems. It is like counseling, but not one on one. Everybody joins in with their own seperate problems and there is a therapist there.
I hope that this makes sense to you, it isn't really easy for me to explain.
