Does anyone have any experience with this drug?

I was prescribed it today after being on Zoloft for two months. He gave me a month sample of only 10mg.

But now I'm looking it up and I'm seeing two odd things:
1) It is prescribed for people with ADHD, which I do not have
2) It claims it is affected by Zoloft (doesn't use the word "interaction" but I am nervous)
3) It should not be used for prolonged periods of time.

Anyone have any input on this? I am completely unfamiliar with this drug and not sure why I was put on it...any insight would be immensely appreciated!

Hi Ashley,

Strattera is also an snri, selective norepinephrin reuptake inhibitor. I THINK, I don't know for sure, that it also helps with depression. Did you ask your doctor why he/she put you on it? My sister was taking it for a while for depression, but I don't think that it helped her a lot. She went to stronger meds.

I wish that I could be of more help. I would contact the doctor and ask why exactly they put you on it. Hopefully someone will come along who have had experience with this drug. Often the pharmacy can tell you more about it. All I know is what I read.
