Since I am new...a little more about my self....

I was diagnosed with anxiety/depression when I was 17. I went through several meds (effexor, paxil, wellbutrin just to name a few). I stayed in denial for several years that anything was wrong. I was in a reckless relationship with a girl (in a quest to make everyone love me no matter what) that almost destroyed my family. I was in a tragic car accident that resulted in my grandfather's death and my grandmother suffered severe trauma (I was barely injured). After that I got pregnant and married a drug addict. I suffered from undiagnosed postpartum depression. Brutal divorce. Drinking binge. Found the love of my life in a bar. Together we renewed our faith in the Lord. Just in May last year: I quit my job, we got married, we got pregnant, My husband's back went out. He went from being a well off sub-contractor to barely moving unemployed. Prozac during pregnancy to head off more postpartum. Denial still that anything was wrong. No insurance. Two back surgeries this summer for my husband. Postpartum found me anyway. Nervous breakdown last month. I am in counseling and back on prozac. I haven't made it out of the woods yet but I have made a conscience effort to save myself and my marriage. I am a work in progress!

There truly is something about healingwell that seems to help us pull our thoughts together and get on the road to recovery. I am glad that you have come here to start healing. And I am glad that you are in counseling, that will send you in the right direction.

Welcome worm, and I'm sorry to hear about your past I can only wish things will get better for you in the future. and like others said its good that you still have that positive look at things, may the lord be with you always.
