Good Monday Morning . . .

Actually it is Sunday night, but I thought I would post this tonight.  I hope all of you enjoyed the Super Bowl last night and that your team won...

My question for today is:

Do you think that things happen for a reason?

 

I have had so many times that bad things happened and something good come out of it that otherwise wouldn't have happened, so I do kind of believe that things happen for a reason.

I do think things happen for a reason. We may not understand it at the time or perhaps ever . . . but there is a reason. I had twin boys in 1986. They were 3 weeks premature. Vincent died after 7 days. Anthony died shortly later. It was horrible and I didn't think I would ever recover. When I became pregnant with my daughter seven months later, I hemmoraged throughout the pregnancy. There were tons of complications and she wasn't breathing for 2+ minutes after birth. The doctor said there was little chance she would make it. 6 weeks in NICU and we got to take her home. What happened with my twins was terrible, but it made me a very good mother, very patient and loving. I wouldn't be the mother I am had I not gone through that terrible experience.

I am so sorry for your loss. That must have been devastating. Just keep reminding yourself that you are a good mother. You have been through a lot. You have much to be proud of. Keep on keeping on.

greatpretender, sorry to hear that about your twins, it must have bin a tough time.

Yes things happen for a reason, you learn from mistakes you make and follow your path in life, where ever that leads you. sometimes GOD sends us signs to watch out for certain things in life, and sometimes I don't see them but sometimes I do and when I do I feel the presense of GOD almighty as if he was speaking to me.

I think everything happens for a reason, there are so many times I would not want something until I already have it. and when it comes to people I 'm sure of it because I found here and it has helped me so much. I did not know anything about forums, I'm not one of those people who know that much about computers, I still have to hunt and peck. My girls laugh at me all the time , I will say its getting easier since I've been on here.... smilewinkgrin

I am glad that you find the forums so helpful. I am not that good with computes either, but with practice, I do okay. So keep up the good work. You will learn more every day. I do.

I used to think things happened for a reason but I have had bad things happen and things that I can't think of any reason why. So I am now thinkiing that what happens to us is just random. Sometimes we are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Things just happen because they do beyond our control.

I am so sorry for your loss and yet so elated for your daughter. Bless you.

For myself I have a hard time trying to understand why bad things happen to good people but I guess we must accept that things happen and we may never know why.
