HI ALL

i'm about to start on lexapro after 7 months of being off zoloft and i'm concerned firstly on returning to meds and especially one i'm not familiar with. I stopped taking zoloft due to it's sexual side effects and the odd effect of just feeling blank and not being too concerened about things - while it felt good not being as anxious, i began to feel it wasn't really helping me in moving ahead with my life and the thing s i really wanted to strive for (school and career wise)- i feel like i just cant concentrate and focus on doing things that will improve my quality of life - can anyone tell me how lexapro is working for them? has it helped with being more focused and thinking more clearly? does it help with obsessive thinking?

I take abilify for obsessive thinking, I believe that it can be taken with lexapro. I take effexor which is similar to lexapro, though I think that the effexor is stronger. They are close cousins anyway.

I hope that the lexapro works for you. I have a friend that takes it and she says it gives her a little energy.
