hey all, has anyone had any experience with taking zyprexa, in the wafer form?.

My doctor has just put me on these for my mood swings.

I was on valpro but had to come off because side effects.

It sounds like zyprexa is for bipolar disorder. Though I take bipolar medications and I am not bipolar. Have you started the medication yet? It might take time for it to reach it's full effect. Sometimes four to six weeks.

zyprexa is an anti-psychotic medication. quite sedating. was on it a long time ago. dr. may have you on it for other reasons. very useful for treating affective disorders and psychosis.

jamie. i was on it when i had a dx of schizo affective disorder, not the bi polar type, the more insidious schizophrenic type. hope this helps. jamie
