Can't get any privacy from mother.

I'm 21, and I'm going to my first gyno appointment to receive that gardisal.
My mom is really nosy, and my problem with that is that she likes to tell my aunt everything and her friends everything, and I don't think it's really fair that my family and neighbors know my personal health.

I would prefer my mom not knowing that I'm sexually active, so I'm kinda nervous going because I don't want her to see my sheets or anything. I got a referral from my primary doctor to see a gyno in the next town over, but she'll have to drive me. They'll keep my privacy there, right?


I just wanted to say that I didn't most this thread to find out about a gyno appt, my privacy is really important to me especially at my age, and I just need to learn to take control of things myself and keep my privacy to myself because my mother thinks she needs to know everything

Just because you are getting the Gardisal injection has nothing to do with being sexually active- isnt that the ovarian cancer vaccine shot? My female students aged 12-18 have all had the shot given to them at school. The majority of them have never had sex or are sexually active. If its the vaccine then its not about sex, so your mother doesnt need to know you are sexually active.

mum etc. well, it is your business. definately not a issue that requires you to inform them. you are an adult. your privacy should be respected.
