Hello Everyone!!!
I just got prescribed Wellbutrin the generic form, and I am scared to take it. First let me give you some background information......I have been a deppressed person since I was 12 years old. They started me on paxil when I Was 15, and that didnt work so I just didnt bother with meds for a while. When I Was 16 years old I had my son (I know, shame on me but he's a wonderful 9 year old boy now) and I got post-partum depression really bad after him, they gave me Celexa which made me freak out. I cant even begin to explain the side effects I got with that, it was just REALLY bad.
Well the post-partum deppression passed a few months later and I had my daughter at 18 years old (shame on me again, but she's a beautiful blue-eyed angel) and I had absoutly no depression after I had her at all. Well several years later I did get deppressed from the stress of being a single mother to 2 kids and being on disabilty for other severe health issues. The doctors tried me on just about every anti-deppresant out there, and I had bad side effects too most (Paxil and paxil CR. Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, effexor, and a few others I cant think of right now) til last year when a new doctor finally put me on Cymbalta and I had absoutly no side effects to it at all.
The cymbalta hasnt helped my deppresion too much or fibro or nerve pain, but has done wonders for my migraines, which makes it well worth to keep taking it. So I told my doctor last week and he decided to add on Wellbutrin. But I keep reading these horrible side effects on it, so now I'm scared to take it. I'm scared of the panic attacks like I got with the others, and I cant take anti-anxiety meds cause they dont mix with my other meds and it can kill me, and I hate anxiety.
So does anyone have experience with Wellburtin, I know we all react so diffrent to all meds, but I just want to hear any good or bad thngs anyone has had with wellburtin. And mostly I was wondering if I should take it in the morning or night, my doc didnt say when to take it (it was up to me), just once daily and I read it can keep you up at night.
Sorry for the long post, thank you for reading.
