remeron? how is it?

hi there. I usually hang out in the chronic pain forum, fibro and lyme forums, but been feeling really more depressed lately and the cymbalta and abilfy are not cutting it.

so I have a new psych np who rx'd remeron. I dont think I know much about it, so please share any experience you may have with it. I honestly am down to only a few meds I havent tried so my options are slim.

Hi Melissa,

When I was on remeron it made me sleepy & really screwed up my vision (but my eyes are very sensitive to medications because of all the problems I have with them). I stopped taking it after a short while because of the visual side effects, but I have heard that it works well for some people. My psychiatrist at the time seemed to think that it was a miracle drug.

if it has been recommended for you and your situation then i would definately give it a go. sometimes it takes a few med adjustments to find the right course. i wish you well. keep posting. with healing compassion, jamie.

I was on remeron for 6 mo., and though it helped me sleep, I awoke fatigued. Also gained 30 lbs.

It has done wonders for my mother. Everyone reacts differently. It's worth a try. Also, hope it isn't related.
