I am feel i need someone to talk to to, I need advice, I feel depressed most of the time.

My fiance is in the army deployed in Afghanistan, and its been really hard for me,without him.

it sure must be. is there support for you whilst he is deployed? from his serving department? hopefully some members who have more knowledge with partners who are serving will come on with guidance for you. but for now i send you big hugs. with compassion, jamie.

Hi Isela

Welcome to the depression forum, you will find a lot of friends here to help you because we all care about you.

Now tell us a little about yourself. How old are you and how long has your fiancee been deployed? Does the army have a support network for wives, fiancees and families of deployed soldiers? Can you email him or even speak on webcam? Do you have family near or with you?

I can only imagine how worried, lonely and scared you are, but please remember we are all here for you and please keep posting, it will surely take your mind off things for a little while. You might also be able to help some others who come on here looking for advice.

I will keep you in my prayers tonight and pray that your fiancee will be home safe and well soon.

Hi there,

And welcome to the forum... Keep posting, this is a good place to come to especially when you are feeling alone.

Your fiance is doing a wonderful thing, and I will keep him in my prayers. Remember if you can't keep in touch on the internet, there is always letters. I know that he would love to hear from you by mail too. It gives him some sense of home.

We will try to help you through this by support. Know that you can post anytime and somebody will respond. Weekends are slower here, so you might not get a respose that quickly on a weekend. But somebody is usually around eventually.

Keep your chin up. Know that you are not alone.
