SSRIs and pregnancy

Hi there

What is the general opinion on taking SSRIs during and after pregnancy (with breastfeeding etc....) As a sufferer of anxiety and depression I am wondering whether it's ok to remain on them. Also, are there any SSRI's that are said to be ok to be on, while others are not?

Please ask your doctor. There have been a number of warnings out there about taking SSRI's during pregnancy...especially Paxil and Zoloft....and I think Pristiq. (Fibro Fog...can't remember) There are probably some you could take that are safer but I would consult your physican and ask.

Hi there!

I believe that Donna has given you some good advice, I would definately ask the doctor about it. And as she said, I think that there are some that are safe, but I don't know what they are.
