I am sure you know of the medications for ADD but I am going to post them here as perhaps others may not know all of what is available. Looks like you only tried one of the medications available.
Psychostimulant medications, including Ritalin, Metadate, and Concerta, the amphetamine class which includes Adderall. Strattera, marketed as a "non-stimulant," (although its mechanism of action and potential side effects are essentially equivalent to the "psychostimulant" medications.
I know it must be frustrating to you to not have a diagnosis confirmed. Many members have a dual diagnosis - I have Depression and Anxiety which often go together.
Your diet can affect your mental health. Depression, anxiety, attention deficient disorder, compulsive disorders, and other disorders of mood are affected by the health of your nervous system. Your nervous system is composed of cells no different than other cells in your body, and every cell in your body depends on food for providing it with essential nutrients. In this way, poor nutrition can cause poor mental health.
