Please don't exhaust yourselves, forum moderators, with trying to feed
a frenzy. Anhedonia can be identified by one symptom if necessary:
in one form it may be the result of long-term heavy narcotic drug abuse or withdrawal from narcotic use, in which case emotions may never return fully. It is also a symptom of schizophrenia, in which case expert medical care should be mandated. Our efforts could make the illness worse.
I wish I could encourage you, but this one is filled with contradictions among other things making it difficult to reach any conclusions regarding the nature, cause, or self-medications (if any) to describe a craving for self-satisfaction or even abuse of others. The major clue you have is that rage is an element of the situation.
I'm not a doctor, but I still have reasoning capacity , and I think you might be very frustrated before this one is drawn to a conclusion. Even if you give it your best effort, you are going to meet contradictions, selective judgmental attitudes, and just plain nonsense. You will not be dealing with a highly intellectual, gifted writer.
I think it best to lock the presentation of the thread regarding
the whole matter and to remove it from the forum entirely. Young
viewers could easily be confused trying to grapple with the
dilemma of the two posts regarding the individual's search for help with a problem that has no real identification, except that rage is
involved. Depression may be quite different, which is what we're supposed to be assisting, as Skitt said and Getting By confirmed.
As I mentioned to you today earlier, MMMNavy, you made a strong plea in your first post that was very effective for several hours, at least. I applaud that effort. but I'm more concerned about your recovery from
the difficulty you've had in the last several days than I am in trying
to see a problem continue for the forum that we aren't qualified to
help.
Take care, please, everyone; I have your best interests at heart. I
really do.
