Chantix and Amitriptyline?

Hello guys and gals! I have a question. I'm going to be taking Chantix to quit smoking. I've read that it's a anti-depressant. I also take Amitriptyline and Buspar. Would it be safe to take Chantix along with those?

I take pristiq, xanax and abilify and am taking chantix. Does the doctor who prescribed it know that you are taking antidepressants? If so, I would say that there is no problem. But the best person to ask is your pharmacist. They know a lot about these things.

Good luck with the chantix. I got a slight amount of nausea from it, but that went away and only lasted about 20 minutes when I got it.

How long have you been taking the Chantix? Yes, the same doctor put me on the anti-depressants also. I plan on asking my pharmacist.

Potsie,

I am on my first week of the second month of it and still smoking, but not much. I had quit cold turkey for a month and messed up and started again. I am really determined to quit but it is so hard.
