Time to talk to the Psychiatrist?

Hello everyone,

I have been posting to the Fibro forum but I also need your input.  I am on celexa and adderall for ADD and depression.  The last couple of days I  have been in pain from the Fibro and also feeling overwhelmed and tired at the same time.. I also have been a little weepy and dragging.  I think that I overdid it with the Fibro and doing things around the house.  I guess my question is should I see the psychiatrist, give him a call or see where this takes me.  I have been feeling this way since the beginning of Feb.  but alot of things have been happening.

Please I need your advice.

Hi Lisa,

I think that would be a very good idea. If it is easier, talk to your doc about seeing a counselor. Psychiatrists generally prescribe medication and end up refering you to a counselor anyway.

I have fibromyalgia too and I know it can be depressing. It takes a lot out of us not only phyically, but emotionally too. I hope that you talk to somebody soon as the sooner you start on it the easier it is to beat.

Hi Lisa,

I think its never a bad idea to go and get a session, psychologist that is. They can really help you sort through your feelings and figure out whats the best way for you to move forward, who knows where i would be without mine!~!

I made my appt for my psychologist for tomorrow. Now to find a babysitter...ahhhhh

I will and thank you... I am feeling a little better now that I had a good 1/2 hr cry in my room. Now I feel tired, sore from Fibro and the aftermath of a good cry...relaxed perhaps? Cannot put words to how I feel. Despite my issues, my husband said that he loves me anyways. That is a big deal for me. I don't want him to think that he married a crazy person who has lots of baggage with her or someone who has mental issues. Worse comes to worse, I will take my kids with me and they will play in the corner of the room.

Hello everyone,
I had my appt today and I feel alittle better. She mentioned that I need to take care of myself and not to take on too much in my life. And I had alot going in my life. SHe is going to help me work on how not to take on too much and to say no: not to let things get me down and feel like I cannot do anything.
I am feeling better.
