Britt,
There are many, many different antidepressants with different side effects. It took me four or five different ones before I found what was right for me. So don't give up. They are coming out with new ones all of the time.
Would you consider rereading the "feeling good" book? To see if you can get more help out of it this time? Or do you not think it will help you?
Staying alone isn't necessarily a bad thing, but we do need human contact with other people. I am alone a lot. And went through a stage where I just didn't want to see anybody or even answer the phone. But I had the time to do it, and I am probably a lot older than you are. I don't know if age makes a difference, but you sound young and I would hate to see you waste time that you could be experiencing different things. Do you like to be alone, or are you miserable and lonely when alone? Or are you just plain not feeling that good? I am suspecting the latter.
Are you seeing a counselor? I think it would be good for you. It sounds like a little boost would help you. Have you ever tried Wellbutrin? It is an antidepressant with a little bit of a stimulant effect.
There is St Johnswort too. That is an herb. Have you been exercising? That gives us energy. If you can get yourself to do so, take a walk and see how that makes you feel. Maybe you should call a friend just to talk? That often helps.
Either way, I sure do hope that you feel better soon. Take care, keep posting.
Hugs, Karen
