I've been struggling with feeling worthless, ugly, anxious and depressed (along with some medical issues)..it's nothing new for me :/ but I just started reading a book called "Feeling Good" by David D Burns and I hope it'll help some. It's a practical guide to CBT, supposed to help you change your negative thoughts and cope. Just thought I'd share if anyone else is interested in reading it :)

Yes, that is a really good book. I hope that it helps you. I read it years ago, lost it and then a couple of years ago, I got another issue. Let us know how it goes please. I really hope that the book helps you.

Hi Guys, I pop over occasionally as the A/P has a crossover with you guys and vice versa (we should all get together for an epic party;) sometime!)
Can I steal and pass along this book idea? As I'm sure you know, CBT is equally beneficial for treating A/P and Depression. (along with other disorders, PTSD, OCD...)
Thanks for the great source and recommendations Hybrid, Jaimee and Karen. I hope that you and yours are all doing well:)
Take care,
Scaredy Cat

Hi Scaredy Cat<
I am glad that you posted on depression and most certainly you may steal the book. lol...
This book has been around for many years. I first read it in the 80's and it helped me a lot. It does teach you new ways of thinking and helps guide you through your depression and anxiety.
I hope that you visit us again SC. You are always welcome here, and the idea of joining in a party is wonderful!!!
Hugs, Karen

Hi all! I just purchased the book "Feeling Good". I understand it is very good. I go to "thebodysoulconnection.com" on the computer and every week I get a very encouraging message from Dr. Neil F. Neimark. I think you might like it. Happiness to all, Dee
