I mentioned it in some of my earlier posts from a few weeks back, but I thought I'd mention it here since the request was initiated. I'm working on having a better docs report by next month (which is when my appt is scheduled). I believe I've made significant progress over the last three months since I got the scare that my cholesterol was out of whack. At that time I was at 206 on the scales. Today after another weigh-in I'm teetering on 183. I was telling Karen earlier that I've cut out a lot of the starches; rice, bread, pasta, juice drinks, desserts, fried foods and a few other things. I have no calories in my drinks (this means nothing but water). I'm eating lots of veggies, salads, fruits, walnuts, almonds, grilled chicken, and fish. I use olive oil to cook with (and very little), I'm taking Vitamin D3, C, an 81mg baby aspirin each day, omega3 fish tab and my normal all-natural vitamins (not that centrum synthetic stuff).
One of the keys is eating early, before 7pm if I can. Twice a week I exercise and all of this is no special tv diet. I feel great and hope to continue. Good luck to each of you, my best. YOU CAN DO IT!
Next month I do blood work to check the cholesterol, wish me the best...I've been trying to be obedient! I want to live a long time, so at 40 something, I'm following the docs orders because I don't want to be on diabetic medicine. :)
