you try so hard and then it all comes crashing down, does it ever stop...
darn it...so fed up, had another medicine failure and was so hoping it
would be the one...don't think there are anymore options out there for the doctor to try
so I guess the RA will eventually deform me...darn it...seems like I go thru medicines
faster than anyone else...one reaction after the other, geezee...
Just needed to vent...will probaby be away till I recoup a little....

Chartreux,

I am sorry about the meds not working. Are you talking about an antidepressant? Or the RA medicine?

Either way, I am sorry. I hope that you feel better soon, and don't stay away too long. We will miss you.

I know modern medicine has not been kind to you. Have you looked into "natural" or homeopathic solutions? If not it is worth a shot, it seems like at this point the only thing you have to worry about is more frustration.

One thing I can't help but think that if the powers that be within the world's governments would turn loose of their 18th century beliefs when it comes to medical research that we are within inches of developing effective treatments and cures for many conditions and diseases.

        I'm not in your shoes Chart, but as you know, a few of us have a pretty good idea of how you feel, and we know it really wears on a person. It's easy for most of us to say "Hang in There"....and it may seem shallow...but it is really a heart felt plea to you. We all do care!

      Take care, and do consider maybe some of the ideas that Jim has suggested. You never know, they may just help.

Doing my best to hang in there...it has been hard...
saw my counselor today which helped some, he said more meds are out
there, but nothing else for my RA Doctor to try, unless maybe possibly doing IV Saline
to get more fluids in me to keep from drying out so much, I might ask my RA Doctor
about that but the appointment date is so far off...
Many well wishes and thanks for helping...
will be lurking, just not up to posting much right now.
Also on the search for a new Pain Management doctor...maybe 4th one will be the charm...
trying to keep hope....where there's not much... sad

Chartreux, I am right with you on the working so hard then crashing down. It is indeed draining. I know we have to keep pressing and we will. Wishing you the best with the new PM doc. Feel better soon.
