Hey guys,
I haven't posted in a long time but after what happened yesterday I feel like I need to. I have had a lot going on the past few weeks. I had to quit my job because it was a negative environment for me. I keep having nightmares about it and my manager wants me to come in and pick up my paycheck and I feel like I can't because I don't want to see anyone from there. I had a presentation for my English class yesterday and I totally froze up; couldn't talk, started shaking uncontrollably, felt like I couldn't breathe and had to sit down. I think I would have fainted if I had tried to continue. I just feel so discouraged like everything I try to do fails and I do not have the strength to face my life.
I don't know what to do. I feel lost.

Hi,

Speech class kept me from getting two degrees. Can you talk to your doc about this? Maybe they can give you something for the anxiety. You really should go and get your paycheck. That is yours. Would they mail it to you? I am sorry that you had to quit your job. But negative enviroment can make our lives miserable. I hope that you are feeling better since you quit. But do get your paycheck. That belongs to you. If you can't go get it, see if they will send it to you in the mail. Don't just let it sit there. You may need it.

Do you have to work? Are you going to look for another job? Do you think that the hostile environment effected you to the point that you could sue them or anything? There are laws about how much we have to take. Was it indeed hostile? Or just uncomfortable for you? I am curious. I put up with a lot of crap on a couple of jobs, and was able to get unemployment and sued one of them. They often cross the line and people don't do anything about it so they keep getting away with it. Just thinking...

with healing compassion, jamie. i know all about negative work environments / harrassment.
had to quit university too due to mental illness and a course i was doing this year, thus i fully understand. medication and therapy is helping. keep posting, we care.
