hi all,is there a relationship between SLEEP DISTURBANCE & STOMACH/MENTAL PROBLEMS. iam having a serious problem with sleep disturbance... just when iam dozzing off, i get a mental palpitation (like heart palpitation, there is some vibration going on in the brain), soon after this i get heart palpitation/angina.... at this point my sleep is totally gone . can anyone tell me what this problem is all about. this has been happening for the past two months almost 3 to 4 times a week. as a result i started getting an eye sag (slight swell under the eyes). Iam told that I have gastritis & slight BP. Iam taking 5mg bisoprolol fumarate pill for BP at night. Master Health Checkup - all parameters seemed OK. iam 46 year old male. can anyone help me to solve my problem...thanks..

Have you tried taking anything for sleep? I take ambien and xanax and that gets me to sleep. I stay asleep thoughout the night. Maybe get up once to use the bathroom.

I am sure that there is an issue between lack of sleep and mental health problems. When you are overly tired, you can't think straight. And most people with depression seem to have sleep disorders. I am not a doctor so this is only what I see.

I would talk to the doc about a sleep aid. I also do meditation and that helps me a lot. You might want to look into that. It is all natural.

you may require a sleep study. definately talk with your doctor. feel better soon. jamie
