Sick and depressed today

Hi, my screen name is Display.

I'm feeling sick today - feels like a touch of the flu - and depressed as well. When I feel like this I also get anxious about any number of things. Probably best for me to just rest and try to sleep til I feel better. But I wanted to reach out for support from people on this site. You have helped me before and now I need you again.

Hey display welcome back

sorry you are having a rough day-maybe a nap is just what you need. Depression can have a number of physical symptoms, including muscle and joint pain, nausea, of course mental fog and lethargy. Baby yourself today if you can...maybe a long hot shower, some soup and a nap(wow, that sounds good to me-lol)

My fibro gives me flu-like symptoms frequently-do you have fibro or other medical conditions, I can't remember?

Anyway, give yourself a break today-I had one of those days this week and woke up the next day feeling pretty good(for me)

hi maggie,

thanks for responding. yes i think i will take a warm bath and then just get into bed. and maybe find something to eat.

it didn't even occur to me until after i posted that my cymbalta can cause stomach upset. but also, i am having chills, which feels like a touch of the flu.

i really appreciate you responding and this site - don't really know where else to turn when i am feeling really bad.

I am sorry that you are feeling bad today. I hope that you feel better.

I had a bad day yesterday and the members here helped me though it. So I can see why reaching out here helps so much.

Yeah the chills sound like the flu-get plenty of fluids and rest! Say "yes Mom"lol
