good morning all

dark, dreary and rainy here

we had a thunder, lightening, rain storm last night

so unusual for march

we still have a bit of snow on the ground

hope they is no more of that white stuff to come

bad sleep here

too much of the chronic pain

having a tough time of it all

wish i could get some relief but alas nothing helps my pain

sounds like john must have a painful mouth joyce

hope he is on the mend quickly

Pea soup fog here, very warm...

Sorry you didnot sleep well. Do you take anything? Some nights I have to take apain pill when I wake up in pain.

morning maggie

no sleep meds here
when i was started on a third antidepressant last july it seems to help with sleep
so on the most part i am getting some sleep but the pain just seems to be too too much right now

what are you up this this weekend

Really? An anti-d? Which one helps you sleep, if you don't mind me asking?

Right now I take seroquel, klonopin and flexeril at bedtime-too much!!

SAo sorry your pain is so high.

Well, we have a St Patrick's Day parade in our little town and all over Louiisisana and Mississippi. They throw beads and trinkets at Mardi Gras, but for St Paddy's, they throw cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions!!LOL!!

So I am going grocery shopping at the parade-too bad they don't throw the corned beef too-lol.

Hope your pain subsides-it is so much worse when we cannot sleep well.

bring some big shopping bags with you, lol

let me know how much loot you collect

i can see you laughing already, lol

for my meds, well i was on and still on pristiq and wellbutrin and then remeron (mirtazipine) was added in aug. and increased in sept. and that helped change the sleep for the first time in twelve years, also helping the depression on the most part as well

nothing for pain as nothing helps, looking into a stimulator at the moment

Good Saturday morning...

Nice day expected, so it's time to get out there and spray for weeds!  I like to do that stuff at my business building when the tenants aren't around.  Also need to pick up junk tossed by cars as they drive by.  WHY do people do that.

Cat is playing with a rattle ball around the room this morning.  What a racket.  He's got lots of energy at this hour.  Ooops, he wants out... At least, no more noise in here.

John is coming along well since teeth pulled. To answer Courtney's earlier question... yes, this is what you can expect with 'maturity'... plus lots of aches and ouches.  Perhaps feeling 'tired' is the hardest for me.  Never realized that was why old timers sat in their rocking chair so much.  Always used to think they were just lazy.  NOW I know.

A question about cooking.  Do you prefer gas stove or electric?  Have two friends who swear by electric...but we like gas.  How about you follks?

I use gas, never had electric. They make nice electric stoves now.. But that just seems so pricy.

Good morning all

We prefer gas. But new house has electric. We were worried having a gas tank below the house that might get dislodged during a hurricane. Also the copper tubing is a neon sign for copper thieves, which ran rampant after the storm.

The old house had old gas heaters and stove-I miss them.

Electric stove is new flattop but we hate it...oh well

Good Sunday morning...

Lovely day yesterday...spent much of it on my butt....   instead of doing lots of needed yard work.  Did try spraying 50% solution of bleach on some exterior cinder block mold at the business.  No successful result.  Not sure what to try now.

Also spent a lot of time on the Prostate Healing Well forum asking questions about radiation treatment for John.  Got some nice replies.  The consensus seems to be that at his age (81) the side effects are not worth the potential results.   That has been our thought, too... quality over quantity.  It seems best to not put him through that protocol.

What am I going to do today?

Probably very little  tongue

Morning all

Joyce, aren't the PC folks nice? I have gone there with questions too and everyone is so helpful. I also went to Hepatitis Forum when they were worried about Pat's liver and they were great!!  I am glad John is not going thru radiation, it really zaps their strength for a long time. I'll just pray the it is sloooow growing.

Katie and girlfriends went window shopping for prom dresses yesterday and she sent me a photo of her in one she likes...she is growing up so fast and will be off to college before I know it...she looked beautiful.

Joyce I would love to describe Katie's dress to you but a burlap sack is high fashion for me-lol...It was a beautiful royal blue satin with lorts of cutouts on the back full of sparkly spangles on it...she is very slender and tall with my mothers gorgeous long neck. When she sweeps her hair up, she is sooo elegant (like my Mom)...I am a goofy clumsy gawky tall and fashion-challenged-lol.

Pat saw ayoung gator in our bayou yesterday doin the deathroll in a school of fish-before Katrina we never had them by us-there were too many humans for them-not anymore. I'd better keep our lil 12 pound dog away from water's edge-good snacking.

Katie just called from her friend's and she sounds horrible-she has allergies. Are you all allergic? We have pollen all over everything this spring.

Anyway, enjoy yourselves today

how is everyone today
is the weather nice where you live
it's 70 here today and will be all week
not the norm for here
went to the gym, just me and my ice packs
my pain has been too much for me to handle and the depression is rearing it's ugly face
i must continue to fight this battle
having a massage tonight, that should be nice

I hope you get a good massage. I am sorry you are having such a difficult time. I did get my meds guys. So I should be a little more perky around here I hope. Two months with something different that didn't work out.

Good Tuesday morning, all..

Yes, another 'nice' weather day.  Hope to get the power washer out to clean some mold off the side of my shop building.  I think I told you that I had no luck with clorox over the weekend.  John bought a product yesterday made specifically for washers.  We'll see if this works.

Mag(ic) A GATOR in your back yard!  Thanks a bunch!  I think skunks and raccoons are bad enough....can just imagine your worries about your little 'Sweetie'.

You asked about allergies... Don't think I have the symptoms...yes, a runny nose, but I call that 'sinusitis', never did ask a doctor.  I do go through a pile of tissues every day.

One of our granddaughter's classmates died from a brain tumor.  The funeral was yesterday.   Her parents had taken her out of school and they went to Disney World for a few moments of pleasure. 

Sorry to end this on a sad note... perhaps it will remind us to enjoy today.  ~ Joyce

Good morning

I am so sad to hear about your granddaughter's classmate. And, yes, we need to remember the gift of life...One of Katie's best friends was in a car wreck this past summer and has been in a coma since. They have had basketball games and bake sales to raise $ for Jennifer. She is now doing hyperbaric chamber treatments which have helped(she is responding to some commands) and the girls are throwing a fancy fashion show with all her friends as models in April. I am very proud of them. Unfortunately, this tragedy has taught our girls some hard lessons.

It is extrememly muggy and warm here again, and summer hasn't even begun.

Joyce, good luck with the mold. Pat has to pressure wash once a year cause the green stuff grows like crazy here.

Good morning all,

I had such a wonderful day yesterday since I got my adderall back. Now waiting on pain patch priorauthorization. We'll see. They cut my norco in half because of the patch which I haven't gotten yet, so I am a little sore. I am hoping soon. But I do have energy and I can live with pain better than fatigue.

I am sorry to hear about the girl that died, and the other girl. That is so sad. I hope the one gets better Mags. I know Katie and her friends probably go to see her and try to get her better. I am glad she is responding to some things.

I hope you all have a beautiful day. It is a little cloudy here today but I can't complain. We have had gorgeous weather for the last two weeks. Yay!!@!

very sad to hear of two young girls, one losing her life and the other a complete change in the opposite direction
