Daily Check in thread

Good morning all...a brief check in.

Absolutely wonderful weather on tap for the next week. 

Been a busy (tough) time....seems like there are tons of emergencies to settle every day.  Anyway, life goes on.

In a few hours I get two teeth pulled.  They have had root canals, but decay at the gum line means the crowns won't stay in place.  Hope to get dental implants without toooo much $$$$$

I rely on my emails to tell me when there is a post, but it seems like I need to stay on top of the forum because when new threads are started I can't get emails unless I subscribe!

Definitely starting to worry about money more and more... still couponing, but it doesn't seem like much is going into savings and I worry about medical or vehicle emergencies.

And I'm so out of whack with my days! Keep thinking today is Friday... darn.

Great to see you post Joyce, Did they give you vicodin for pain? That is what they usually give. Since you are sharing... Oh...

Courtney, I am sorry too that you have worries. Try not to. It doesn't solve anyting, just makes us tired and stressed.

I've been feeling queasy and nauseous this morning and checked my pill bottles. Think I took the wrong meds at 5:30 am... and a double dose of pain, instead of the Amoxicillin. John offered me his Rx yesterday, and they apparently got mixed. Is there anything I should do? Don't know who else to ask.

I've been drinking a lot of water, hoping to flush things out.

Been keeping to busy to have time to post lately. It has been helping to stay so busy but i still get down. Going to start my new meds soon. I have been waiting to start them till I would have a day where i didnt have to do anything so I dont have to be worried about how tired they will make me. I am looking forward to being able to sleep at night and be able to eat. I am so tired of everyone always talking about how skinny i am.
My depression is getting so much better right now but my anxiety is still really high. Hopefully the doctors can help me get it under control. I dont want to live like this anymore.

Good Saturday morning... Not much to 'report' ... Stuff pretty much the same.  Teeth extraction settling down.  Stopped pain meds.  Not sure if the nausea was that side effect, or the Amoxicillin. On the agenda today, grocery shopping and weed spraying.  Typical Saturday. Had an unexpected 'salesman' stop by yesterday.  The topic was 'Medical Savings Account'.  Does anyone have any info on that subject? Hope everyone has a 'good one' ... ~ Joyce A thought for the day…. It used to be only death and taxes. Now, of course, there's shipping and handling, too.

I haven't posted in Healing Well in a very long time, but this week have read a few posts on Depression and RA. I was for several months hanging out on another group's mental illness website, but got tired of them, many of the people seemed so negative and judgmental. People seem so much more positive here and friendly.

Anyway. Since about January I have been back on antidepressants (Zoloft this time) and I feel it helps quite a bit with my "moods" and anxiety. With fewer side effects than some other drugs, at least for me. I also think it helps with the pain from my reactive arthritis.

The really good news this week is I went out and bought a used bike to ride on the gravel-type trails around here. I think this bike is a good fit because my knees did not hurt me at all after testing it out. Last night I went out for a few miles and also did not have any pain. I did take a couple of my anti-inflammatories when I got home though, just in case. So far so good this morning and I am thinking about going out for a spin again later today.

I miss the long bike rides and tours I used to do, so being able to go out for even half an hour or an hour again is exciting news for me!!!

Good Sunday morning all.... Managed to sleep in a little later this morning, even though got startled overnight by some loud bangs.  Thought at first it was a thunder storm... but now I remember seeing fireworks for sale at the grocery store yesterday. The kids must be practicing for the holidays. Karen, my 'thoughts for today'  are just trivia picked up on the internet or received in emails.  Just might add a few smiles to your day. Yes, you're right. I am trying to pace myself a little. Took the bike out Friday and Saturday, but even though I really wanted to go today, decided I'd better rest a little. My foot is hurting. But in my mind that's better than my knees hurting! So, so far so good.

I'm annoyed right now though because our central air does not want to work right... oh, I hope it doesn't need much. We've had some giant car repair bills, and I'd just like the huge expenses to stop...

Sorry I didn't get to post a check-in this morning... It was/is tough right now...always something... My favorite former feral indoor/outdoor cat had a confrontation with something.  He has a bad wound on his neck,  isn't eating, just laying there all day yesterday.  He's 'slightly' better today.  Would like to take him to the Vet, but last time, he was so scared he bit me and I had to go to emergency.   If it gets worse I will borrow a cat trap instead of trying to use the carrier. Hope the rest of you are ok ~ Joyce A thought for the day….     Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!
