I am starting a new thread because our other one reached 100 posts.  I hope you all post on how you are doing, good or bad...

Keep the faith all.  We are all a work in progress.  I found out my insurance only covers half of my mental health visits now.  bummer, but I am still going...

Yes Karen, insurance can be a rip-off sometimes. Then again, sometimes it can really be a help.
Mags: Hope you're shoulder is ok and you're not in too much pain.

Well' I'm fighting the flu still. Thought it was gone yesterday but it seems like it just got worst today :-( Thank God it's a holiday.

Hey guys!

Karen, that stinks about your insurance. Mine made changes as well- I now have to pay a copay. Since I don't have to go back to my PCP until September, I can use the money I was paying there to now pay my counselor, but remember... I'm still traveling an hour for my appointments. It has been a month since I've been to her and I feel stable, so today, I am going to request my appointments are spaced father apart. I have been going bi-weekly for almost 9 months now... I think I can handle every 3 weeks or just once a month. I know my bank account could handle it!

I made some turkey meat balls last night, but the sauce didn't come out like last time. I'll have to try to "fix" it.

Not too much going on. I am going to see my grandmother this weekend. I have started going to mass again--- I just couldn't handle being alone & sitting there, but now I can! It does help me throughout the week, but I am looking forward to going this weekend with my Grandmother since I am going to visit her. I am also going to go check out some books from the library. Such a busy bee!

Had xrays last Friday and they did hurt. Then on Sunday while out, had a asthma flair, it was suden and I'd been free of daytime flairs for over a year and did not have my inhaler with me...yeah i know bad on me...but we e're only 3miles from home. Tomorrow I see my pain mnagemnt doctor...more to follow..

Thanks for posting Chartreux. I am sorry about the asthma attack. I am sure you will carry your inhaler from now on. This is a bad year for irritants and allergies. We have had a very strange spring.

Hey Y'all

Wanted to stop in and thank you for well wishes!! Pain seems to be gone but arm feels constantly like I just hit my funny bone-downright annoying. Waiting to get referral to ortho doc. I know my pain doc would gibe me cortisone ijections, but I had many lower back epidurals before and I am just not comfortable with MORE steroids...guess I'll see what ortho says-I cannot see phys therapy being beneficial at all

Anyway, hotter than the gates of Hell here today. Gave the dogs a good flea bath and let them in to lie on the cool floors. If it gets too hot outside they just take a dip in the bayou-lol.

My daughter Katie has been with relatives for 5 days and I must say it has been so quiet without teen drama-lol. i started a good book. We have a real estate lady coming thursday to just feel out market-house and yard is too much work anymore, worry about flooding, hurricanes....I have turned into such a worrywart. It IS so beautiful here but once kid is out of high school, not much to keep us here.

Some of my family are going to Olympics in London in July, my sis included. What a great trip for the neices and nephews!!!

Karen-sorry to hear about copays. I'm sure that is not the last time we see that!!

Bean-glad you are going to church again-I always say I'm gonna go and then I don't-glad you get to hang with your grandmother!

I talked to my psychiatrist office and they said they are a member and that they have been for 20 years and are grandfathered in, so Ins co has to pay. Yay... But yet so frustrating to get it sorted out.

Too hot here today... Not much ambition...

Good Wednesday morning... the first day of summer. With the temperatures the way they are for most of us (whew)...what does that mean for the rest of this season! We have a new member in our 'pet' family... a Tufted Titmouse bird.  That sweet little guy comes to greet us every time I go on the deck or fill the feeders.  He lands on the container with seed I'm holding and munches happily just a few inches away.  Can't believe it sometimes.   Really a thrill to see it so close....I just hope he stays away from the cats! CUL ~ Joyce Have you ever wondered… Why isn't it funny when you hit your funny bone?

Good morning all

Joyce, we have alot of timouses(titmice? lol) they are sweet...we have cardinal parents with their baby everyday...their baby is bigger than mama and still sits there with his mouth open-kinda like college grads coming back to roost-funny.

Pat is going to New Orleans today for a friend's wake-too long a trip for me and there will probably be lots of Irish toasts-I have a hard time dealing with drunks anymore. My family was full of them (reunions are like AA meetings now-lol)

HOT HOT HOT!!

Hi All!

I have been having problems with my insurance as well-- same type of issue, I should have been grandfathered but it won't apply to a certain situation. Whatever. Just agencies trying to get more money. Apparently, my "year" started over again recently so I'll pay my $500 and then those goon heads can pay for everything else.

Boss is out of town, always much nicer at work when he is gone. I feel less stressed and more focused.

Keeping everyone in my thoughts! I won't be around this weekend since there is no internet at my grandmother's, but I will be back shortly :)

Good Friday morning.  Hot overnight...but improvement on the horizon (after the drenching thunder storm). Internet is acting up so I am posting in case it goes down. I got blindsided by a massive edepressive episode again just when I thought i was getting better....feeling very dark...cannot say much more..hanging in there I gtuess, what else can I do?
