My Dr.  has increased my Pristiq to 100mg from 50mg. As I have said before, I was on other meds, like Trimiphamine and the celebrex, but niether of them helped. But I have found a difference in Pristiq.

I am also on therapy finally. It is hard each time I go for therapy, I find I am drained of any energy when I come back. But I continue to go. I try every two weeks.

My one problem is I have difficulty in sleeping and Dr. has given me Zopiclone but I don't find it helping. Does anyone know of a sleeping med that could help? Or is taking and has helped in sleeping? I also take Seraquel, and Trazodone but they don't help at all.

Does anyone know of any other meds?

I guess we have a little in common, I take pristiq too. 100mg. I take abilify also. It is a mood stabilizer for me.

I have been taking ambien for a long time and it works for me. I take .25 of xanax too. I don't have much trouble going to sleep. When I do, I meditate.

Hi Karen,

When you say Xanax, is it also known as Lorazapam? Because what the Dr. gave me, Zopiclone doesn't work after awhile. And I have trouble sleeping.

I started on 100mg of Pristiq today. So I will see how it goes. Anyway I has worked so far.

Can you take Ambien every day?

Hi Maggie,

Xanax is alprazalam, I don't think I spelled it right though. They don't really recommend taking the ambien everyday, but I have been for years. It works well for me. The xanax, I am cutting back on because I am getting older. I use to take four milligram a day. I cut down to 1 1/2 a day, now I am at 1/2 mg a day. But I find myself a tad bit irritable. Not even noticable, but I can feel it. I kind of flew off of the handle the other day when I had to take my dog to the groomer. It is a chore taking her, she gets way too excited. But my husband put the back seat down (as to sit on) and she couldn't jump up there. I kind of yelled at him for it. He thought it would be easier and was trying to do me a favor. I don't think I would of got upset taking that extra quarter of a milligram of the xanax as I did without it. It does keep me from getting anxious.

I do good with the ambien, but that is when I take my last dose of xanax, so that helps me too. Though if I am feeling irritable, I take it earlier than bedtime. I have been taking it for about 20 years. I never got a tolerance to it. I only take it when needed. I got perscribed three a day but usually take two. I know some people abuse it but I have no reason to. I guess. It just keeps me from getting anxious or nervous.

I hope that you find what works for you. I have never taken zopiclone. I will have to look it up and read about it. There are some things with ambien though, like not having a full stomache when you take it. So that means no eating before bed. But that is good practice anyway I guess.

Thank you so much for your feedback. The Lorazapam that I take is part of Ativan. (I Googled and found out.) I have been taking 2mg on and off, and has helped me with the anxiety. But I am scared to take them daily. But taking them helps me a lot. Dr. has given me Seroquel and trazodone, both doesn't help me at all. Both of them doesn't help me to fall asleep.

Next time I see the Dr. I will have to discuss about my medication with him and see about a change.

If it works, take it. I don't know which one is more addictive between ativan, xanax and valium. But I think that they are all related. Benzos I think that they are... I have gone down to a really low dose of xanax. I use to take a lot more than I do now. So it can be tapered down for some. I would talk to your doctor about a med adjustment if the seroquel and trazadone aren't helping. My husband took trazadone, it didn't really help him sleep, but he was in a better mood on it. It is hard to tell somebody that though.
