Depressed about friend in hospital

I hope so, too.

I will have to think about a remark she made to me last week, before she collapsed. That could possibly be because of how the pregnancy was affecting her mentally.

She accused me of using my health as a crutch. When she said a couple weeks ago, that I knew her better than she knew me, I wonder if I should even bring her up to speed, when she is sane, considering what she accused me of.

I still don't understand why you can't let that go. She is not doing well, don't bring that up. You are only making the situation worse if you bring up what she said. Can't you let it go and just be friends. Nobody is perfect. Maybe that is what she sees. It wouldn't be the first time somebody used thier health as a crutch. Like I said, nobody is perfect. I am not saying you are, I am just saying you should overlook what she said. You are hanging onto something you didn't like at that time. But it is just words. People make mistakes and say the wrong things.

I am just saying this could be overlooked. And you could continue to have a good friendship. I hope that it is worth it...

It isn't so much what was said, it is that you have the power to not let it get to you. Use that power over your mind. It really isn't worth stewing about. That just makes you more depressed. Use your strength and don't give into it. I promise you will feel better. Don't lose a good friend.

Can they drain that off? I hope so. I hope that your friend gets better soon...

One person on an e-mail discussion list I am on, mentioned Prednisone. I know it is a steroid. If that will help my friends lungs, the doctors should use it. But I won't know until my friend's fiance gets back to the hospital. He had to get out and take a bit of a breather.

I hope so, too. Because her fiance has told me, that when he has held my friend's hand several times she has had an extremely scared look on her face.

The doctors are still trying to figure out why, my friend's ICP(Intra-Cranial Pressure) is so high. I know that ICP can rise during pregnancy. So since the pregnancy was poisoning my friend's body, I think that once all the toxins from the pregnancy are expelled, that my friend's ICP should start to come down to a safe level. If it doesn't, she may need to be shunted.

The doctors had to take the baby. It only lived 40mins., before it died. My friend's body wasn't trying to expell the pregnancy. But to expell the toxins created from the pregnancy.

Her fiance already showed her the pictures. She was crying uncontrollably. I told him, when he told me that, that I would have been surprised if she didn't.

Because, When my (ex)wife n' I lost our first child through 'spontaneous abortion', she showed no emotion at all. She wasn't in a daze or anything. It didn't even phase my (ex)wife. I was completely stunned. I knew there was nothing I could do about it.

The point of mentioning my (ex)wife's reaction, was that, I was (sort of) jealous that my friend reacted as expected, when my (ex)wife's reaction was almost like reading a page in a short story. No tears, no nothin'.

I am sorry that your friend had to have brain surgery. I hope that she is okay now. She has been through so much. She is lucky to have a friend like you who is so concerned and cares so much. She is still in my thoughts and prayers.

They are probably doing that because she may be traumatized if she were awake, and maybe she would have pain. I hope that she is able to wake up soon and that you will get good news.
