I am proud to be a member of this loving family and with any family you will have love and contoversy but some times its better to bite the tougne some people wether thier new here or just having a new problem mabye standing on the edge and are waitin on every word

i have had similar incidents

       we all like to share opinions feelings and experiances but we should check what we say before we say it someone may depend on that next word its better not to post sometimes then to say somethin (even if we think its constructive) that mabye be detrumental to the one in trouble i have slipped in chat a few times however thats on the fly  here in forums we have the chance to review what we say BEFORE we say it i check mine several times before i hit that submit button and sometimes even reread all the previous posts      

               just a thought

I bow my head and hope that I have been careful enough with my words. I have taken back many statements before hitting that post button . . . and you are right, we are too much in a hurry sometimes to add our $.02. I have at times typed out a very well thought through message and then canceled it because I wasn't sure it had enough content to really help someone. I will use this as a reminder to myself to re-read my posts before hitting submit. I sure appreciate your comment.

Never Alone, I just want to say thank you for mentioning this. We are all here to give each other support and since we all know what each other go through with depression we should automatically think before posting. Our feelings are very sensitive with depression and we get hurt very easily.

AlwaysRose, I have never seen a post from you that has been offensive or hurtful. To me, you give a great deal of support to all of the people here and always have kind words.

Thank you for your kinds words. I do try.

Being a moderator, I have to make a decision with a very few posts on wether to edit them, delete them, or warn the writer. I have deleted several posts from people coming here to peddal their wares. But, so far I have resisted editing anyone's post. You will know if I do edit because there would be a note at the bottom of their post stating "this posted edited by AlwaysRosie". I have seen a couple posts which I would like to have edited . . . but it would have been because of a difference in opinion and I have to draw a fine line between mean spirited, argumentative, and well-meaning but poorly executed. So I thank the General for starting such a needed topic.

I have though deleted words and sentences in MY posts that are argumentative. And I have kept my thoughts to myself when I thought posts were too harsh. Just waiting for each of us to grow in our own time. I do think everyone here is really trying, or they wouldn't be posting and coming back.

Words can hurt as bad or worse than a scar or a bruise . . . so we do need to be very careful of each word we type.
