Hi Michele,

I am down to 1/2 of a pack a day. My hubby has quit. I am holding on at this point, but need to focus on smoking less. After a week it gets a little easier. At least you feel like a non smoker. I quit for four years back in the 90's. Stupidly started smoking again. But I do have a good mind set at this time.

Keep on quiting!

Her uti is supposedly gone. I took a urine specimine in on Tuesday and there was no more infection in her. The problem is she is leaking urine. Now Monday I took her to the groomer. They said she had fleas and gave her a flea bath without talking to me first. I think she had a bad reaction to the flea bath. Plus just having the uti, and being in a crate for a long time at the groomers. I think it was too much stress for her. I feel really badly... I love that dog...

I am weepy so I am gong to end.

Alice, thank you so much for your response. The lady called me on my cell to tell me that they had done the flea bath. I thought she should of asked me first. I have to find out from her what chemicals they put in it. And the situation on the crating. I know she was crated for a long time, because of when she called me. She was crated before and after her groom. She cries in the crate. She couldn't get out of there fast enough. And when we got home, she imediately potty both kinds. And she had to go bad. Her back leg looks funny when she walks and she doesn't want me to rub her belly (which she loves) or pet her back. So I am wondering if they dropped her. She is 70 pounds. But it still could be a reaction from the flea bath maybe.

The thing was Alice, I was just into the vets and had a flea check done. No fleas. She has never had them because her heartwormer has flea killing stuff in it. Plus my dogs just don't get them here for some reason. And there was another dog in there for fleas, though she said he didn' thave them. Maybe they jumped on my dog. They were standing next to eachother. Oh well... But the girl who owns the place, who I talked to didn't actually see the fleas. It was her assistant. I asked how many. She had first said a flea, this time she says, how many, a handful? I think Jasmine got them there. And they would of died if they bit her. So she is not going back there. Only for a nail trim if I have to.

She always complimented me on how good she was. But whenever I talked to her on the phone, which I did three times, I heard her crying in her crate. And when I picked her up she was crying and howling. Then really cried when she saw me. I feel like something happened there that day and I want to find out what it is. Maybe I am wrong. But she just isn't acting normal. I think she got really stressed bad. She smells like flea powder. I am tempted to give her another bath to get it out, but that would stess her that much more.

But back to one day at a time. I will call the vet tomorrow if she isn't better and get xrays to see if she has a kidney stone. I just hope it isn't a tumor or anything.
I will know something soon I am sure. If it is kidney stones, I hope that they can remove them easy.

Alice, thank you for posting to me. I see you on fibromyalgia occasionally. I hope you are doing good and free of pain. The weather here has made it hard for me. Damp and cold. I can take some cold, but not that damp weather. But I see the doc next week and will talk to him about the added pain.

Thanks for the update on Jasmine...and wish things will have improved for her today.

I hope it was not insensitive of me to post smilers today while you are under such stress. I did hesitate...but decided to go ahead.

A vet visit to put your mind at ease may be your best alternative...and a change of 'groomers'.

I know what it's like to get 'older'....and worry about peeing on the bed. I've got some "Stay Free Maxi pads" if she would like to try one....(just another smiler for you)

We had a senior citizen dog some years ago...and I remember how hard it was for her to climb the stairs. I used to carry her up for nighty-night time. The only plus for her advanced years was the hearing loss. Now the thunder storms didn't scare her!

My girlfriend texted me today about the date. Pretty cool. I don't have any bills to pay or I would be doing it today just so that I could write the date. lol... Veterans day will be 11/11/12. Then in December we will have 12/12/12...

The weather is so crappy here today. Cold rain going on. I can't wait for some sunshine and warmth. Maybe next spring, eh? lol...
