Hi I am new

I am suffering from Bi Polar (but only ever get the lows, never the highs) I have had a really difficult few months and would really appreciate a some support in easing this curreny depession. I struggle with life!!!! there I said it I find life hard and to be honest dont really want to be living it any more, however I have 2 wonderful children and a great Husband, I need to do this for them.Please help me. xxx mad

Hi Heartache,

Are you going to any type of counseling? Do you take medications for bipolar? Note that this is an expecially difficult time of the year. Everybody's depression is worse.

Exercise helps, I highly recommend walking a little each day. It helps us both mentally and physically.

It is hard to admit that we struggle with life in general, but getting it out often helps. I am glad that you posted here. There are a wonderful group of members here that really do care about eachother. We care about you too.

You want to get better and you will. Try to get into counseling. Make sure you are on the right medicatons. What do you take, by the way? Just curious.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low. But this is a great place to vent. I am new to the site myself and i already find it a big comfort to know that there are people out there who do care. I care, and i hope that you find your way to a happier place xx

Hi there,

I have been with the same councillor for 3 years now (he is fantastic) we have just sarted to embark on a difficult part of my childhood which is why I am finding things a bit hard I guess. I REALLY NEED TO FIGHT THROUGH THIS STRUGGLE, i need to do it for my family.

As for medication, I am on escitalapram, mirtazapine and olanzapine but hope to come off some off this when I go back to work, I have been off since mid November and feel realy bad about that too.

Hi Heartache

I too have a child that keeps me from falling off the cliff every single day...I breathe because she is here, my heart beats only because she is here.

But, eventually you and I will get to a place where life is sweet again and we will live for ourselves AND others.

You have come to a good place, both healingwell and your counselor and meds. Give yourself time to heal. The rest will happen.

I am not familiar with your medications. But if you aren't feeling better, talk to the doc about an adjustment. I hope that you feel better soon. Keep posting and know that we care.

Good, remember it takes six to eight weeks for antidepressants to reach their full potential. Hang in there Take the time you need to feel better, and keep posting...

I am struggling, my daughter self harms and I noticed new marks on her today and OF COURSE I blamed it on myself. I guess there is a vicious circle going on here, I get ill(although she does i when Iam ot ill) she self harms, I get majorily affected ih new marks, I suffer from mymental health and the sh hams again........dont know whatto do. Any help greatfully excepted.

Can you get your daughter into counseling? I think that would help her tremondously. Think about it. She needs mental health help. Stay strong. You aren't the reason for what she is doing. Do you talk to her about it? Maybe the lines of communication need to be opened up.

I dont think I can cope with this life anymore. Everytime Isee knew marks it breaks me.......she hurts so much but can no longer come to me like she used to.....not about self harm but bout life......thats not there anymore. I saw new self harm marks today on myu daughter and it has set me back......not good.....it would be better for all if I wasnt here.

My Daughter has had 3 different councilling and I have also been to family councilling to her but it didnt help, she was just not ready to talk and she is now 17 so not something I can make her do!!! Not really sure what else I can do?

Talk to her. Don't think that you don't need to be here because you do. We can't discuss self harm or suicide here. I know you are hurting, watching your daughter. You have to try to get her to talk. Let her know that things will be better. I think it would be good for you to go to counseling, it would help you to deal with what is going on. I know you feel helpless right now, but that isn't really the case. There is much power in words. Talk to her. Talk to her about counseling, maybe the two of you could go together. Be there for her.
