de121212,
well, you could go a few diff ways here. Since you are still in the "closet". why don't you start with a Pros/Cons list. Be 100% honest in how YOU would react.
Telling your Truth; waiting to see the ripple effect of your truth. True friends will not really care, they may even applaud you for your strength.
Be ready for the negative, NO you are just confused responses.
Can you stand strong without depression kicking in and spiraling down. Do you have a support system?
Easier in long run to live with self in the Truth than a lie, no matter what happens initially. This friend of yours may be with a girl, because he too, is in the closet. You could always have a one to one with him. Denial should be expected, but not 100% the response.
There is no shame in who you are. Being gay, does not make you a bad person or unlovable. Jesus would not turn away a gay person in need or prayer, so why should anyone else.
People who truley love you will be set back at first, however will stand by you in the end. It is about the inside of a person, the heart, not anything else.
stay strong keep posting we support and listen to each other.
Peace
Trina
