Hi Desertaquarius,

The "daily check in" thread is just a way of keeping in touch. Joyce usually posts some "smileys" every morning and it is interesting and funny. You can write about how your day is going if you want, or pretty much anything. Feel free to join in if you would like, post anytime...

Morning all- or um I mean Good Afternoon!

I slept in until 1:30 my time. Guess my body needed rest with this sickness. I still have no voice and my kids are loving it.

Chartreux- that sounds incredible!!! Wish I could see it. Mine is just a beach scene with two beach chairs looking out into the ocean with a small Christmas tree between them. Once the kids leave the house in a few years, we'd like to move back to Florida- that is where my husband is from.

Joyce- I will add your husband to my church's prayer list. I am sorry you both are having to deal with this.

Trina and Joyce- I guess I need to set my alarm for Saturday Scramblers!

Trina- I looked for that particular yoga around my area and found it not too far away. I plan on trying it. Thanks for the tip.

Karen- Hope everything is ok your way.

UA- How is your dad doing? And how is your job?

I have Avast Antivirus and I don't experience any problems.
I hope the problem some of you are experiencing is resolved soon.

Just got back from classes. We learned a lot today. It was fun.

Hope you feel better and get back your voice soon Michele. My dad is okay for now. He has his good days and bad days. These days are not really good days for him but he's hanging in there. We're waiting to get approval so he can get his Nuclear Stress Test and Angiogram done.
Work is okay. Just trying to get pending things completed. Have lots of paperwork from 2011 to complete still. I want to get back into music and then I guess I'll see what happens from there...

i am resting today. i walked buttons, was good. nice weather. currently i am playing some tunes. got some stuff to do, but it can wait. got a little bit of sleep last bight, definate victory of sorts!!!

I have had a terrible day today. Yesterday, I had to work some volunteer hours for my bishop so that he will give me a food voucher for my family. Today, I am feeling the pain from doing that work. Today, I Have spent most of my day in bed, having asthma, being filled with depression, suffering from back pain and cursing a monster migraine. These things are why I have not been able to work since 2008. Every time I try to get out of the house to do one thing or another, I spend the following days feeling miserable for one reason or another...

Had to fire my therapist before we even started. I discovered the method of therapy she wanted to use has absolutely no evidence to back it up. I asked for cognitive behavioral therapy which she has all of the qualifications to do but she wants to do sensorimotor psychotherapy. It took me seven months to gather up my guts and try to find someone. Now I am back at square one. Bummer!

I did not see any responses to your posts. Just wanted to let you know there are days I feel the same way. Sometimes life is a roller coaster that can get stuck longer than we want in the down levels. I hope things are looking up for you.

Good morning all,

We are having a blizzard here today. But it doesn't seem really cold. I am glad. Dont' get me wrong, it is cold, but not real cold.

Joyce thank you for the smilers once again. I always look forward to them. It is nice to have this to look forward to each day.

I hope everybody has a good day. It is early here. I just got up, so forgive me if I am not really with it yet.

Pretty day here. Did my meditation, but cannot get past 7 and a half minutes. I get so fidgety. OH well, progress not perfection.

Getting ready for 2nd day of walkies with my daughter and the dogs

I am getting so well adjusted it is INSANE!!!! LOL

What a roller-coaster of a day. I got up early to have a meeting with my bishop from church because I have been volunteering in return for assistance with food. Anyway, we had a long meeting and I am a little embarrassed because I completely broke down and lost it in his office. I have no doubt that he now has a new understanding for what I have been going through, between my depression and anxiety and how they effect my asthma. Part of me feels a little relieved to have let it out a bit, but the other part is horrified to have let someone, especially my bishop, see me in that state of discombobulated, tear-filled, chaos... So many times I have told him that I am not well and this time he got to see it for himself. It was hard for me, as I desperately tried to wipe off my eyes, Puff my inhaler, breathing in and out in wheezing gasps, trying to put it all back in, trying to re-compose myself after having let it all out. I was mortified, as he sat there staring at me like I was some kind of alien from outer space or something. I felt like there was a big, fat elephant in the room and I was it.

Fortunately, this all turned out to be a good thing, and after the mood in the room settled, my bishop was so kind and understanding. He also offered me some help. My bishop wrote me a referral and has agreed to cover the expense for me to get counseling for my depression and anxiety. All and all I am feeling a bit relieved right now. Sometimes it is good to let it out...

just checkin' in to say hi. i hope the week bodes well for us all. got a lot to do this week. and monday is more than half way through!!! bugger. very warm and windy here. sleep is still chaotic. okay take care all. remember that slow and steady wins the race.

ps large posts are still hard to read, thus if i have not replied to some this is the reason why. i am trying though. you are all in my healing thoughts. take good care.

LOL I'm guilty of doing large posts. I love writing and just cant help it. *shrug* Even now there is so much I want to say... But this time, if only this time, I will keep it short. :-)

PS one of the reasons my posts are almost always going to be long is because I have so much going on in my mind. I am very detail oriented and have a hard time narrowing it all down to a few simple sentences...
So, sorry that I am so long winded, so to speak... (and to think, when I write several paragraphs, I still see it as incomplete, but I know that no one will read it if I write more so I have to try not to make it all in to a novel) *shrug*

Sorry I misunderstood and was so defensive. I have recently had some issues because not even my own family will read any of my letters anymore because they said that they were too long. It hurt my feelings. .. I love writing so much, it is such a big part of me. .. It is easier for me to express my self in writing then it is for me to do so vocally.

No smilers as yet? Looks like we're up before Joyce. Hope her pc is not giving problems.

It's another full work week ahead for me. Got my therapist appointment later this week so I'm looking forward to that.
