I'm usually on the Ulcerative Colitis forum on this site, but have a question about Cymbalta and figured maybe you guys would know more than the UC people...
I was prescribed Cymbalta to help with pain, and it ended up having a great effect on my urgency issues (gave me control) with Ulcerative Colitis and Irritable Bowell Syndrome. Unfortunately I lost a lot of the ability to get and maintain solid erections strong enough for intercourse. This was at 60 mg/daily. As I tapered to 30 mg/daily I saw somewhat better functioning, but not anywhere near normal.
I have a history of being sensitive to meds in this regard. Even antibiotics if strong enough can cause issues for me.
I was just wondering if there's a chance I could gain back my erection capabilities with time, if I were to go back on Cymbalta and stay on it long term. If anyone has experience with this or even with a similar situation I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!
