Do I leave her

Yes i thought about counseling for me but I'm still not sure what to do anymore. I talked about it to a few friends yesterday and everything i said led them to she's cheating on me. Even a woman who i didn't know overheard our conversation told you me drom a woman's perspective that in long relationships it can loose it's luster and she starts to feel something for someone else, they get weaker towards you. She she knows cuz she went through it. Even my father in law is thinking she might be cheating on me. Her own dad. She didn't come homw last night till 8pm. She claimed she she was gambling on $20 the whole time, and she's been doing this for months. I'm starting to rule out this whole depression scenario and think she really is. I asked her yesterday, did she do blood work to when she went to counseling. She said yes and i asked when she's getting the results. She said a week. So i said I'm taking her back so i can hear what that the doctor says. All of a sudden she changes her story and says well they're going to give the results to my doctor and it'll be a month before I go back because her insurance will only pay once a month for the counseling. I figure it buys her time to do whatever she's going to do or maybe I'll forget. Really tried not to think negatively about this butphone my own parents and her parents and all my friends are saying the same thing. She's cheating. She is capable because she's done it before and I know she lies because I have heard her do it before so what's to stop her from doing it to me. The thing that kills me the most is our eight year old son asked me yesterday Why doesnt mommy want to be home with me and you. I didn't know what to tell him but I felt like crying. A couple of my friends including that lady told me I should go down there and see if she's really doing what she said she's doing. I think I will. One last thing she decided to take a vacation this weekend and stay somewhere else, but luckily I got her to stay at her dads.

I read what i just wrote and broke down. I feel like my life's falling apart around me and I'm barely hanging on. I know I've gotta be strong for my son but it's so hard watching her walk around us like nothing's wrong and it doesn't hurt her. My mother's upset about it and wants to attack but she knows it'll make everything worse. I just feel completely helpless and that I'mdoomed to be alone

Why don't you two just separate for awhile and see what happens. Depressed people often do want to be alone. And it isn't you, it is her.

You wont be alone, you will have your son. Embrace that.

You were expecting something like this I am sure. Try not to overreact. Give her her space and see what happens. Sleep on it before you make any decisions or assumptions. Learn to live in the moment with this. Take it one day at a time.

You will be feeling better and things will get better. I still believe counseling could help at this time. Try to talk to somebody professional.

I am so happy. I think that a counselor will guide you through this. This is a life changing situation. And your son might need therapy too to get through this. Children often blame themselves in these circumstances. Make it clear to him that none of this is his fault.

Yes, that can happen. Remember, you always hurt the ones you love. She is comfortable with you, and it comes out easier. Though I find when I am depressed, I usually don't want to be around anybody really. But that is just me, we are all different. She may relate you to the stress she feels that she is under at home. Give her some time before you evaluate. See if she changes her mind once she is alone for awhile. But don't put your life on hold. Keep living, doing things with your son. Bond. It is a good chance for you two to be one on one.

Things are going to get better.

Well I was out with my father in law and it had been days since we've had any contact. She called him and they talk, but it wasn't what I wanted to hear. She really wants the divorce.guess it was never meant to be.

Thanks Karen. It was really hard breaking the news to our 8yr old son christopher. He's not very happy right now. I still can't wrap my brain around how someone can just walk out on their husband of 13 years and leave their children behind in an instant. Anyways I'm dealing with it the best I can and starting the transition of boxing her stuff an changing the way the house looks so I'm not so reminded of her. Of course I'll put up a picture of all of us in my sons room for him cuz I'm not heartless enuff to erase her from his memories. She's been gone since last Thursday with out any contact. She's out partying from what I'm told. Not sure if she's really ill or not. Guess it doesn't really matter anymore.
