i keep telling myself everything will be okay. i was looking at pictures today and came across real old pictures of me and my ex who has and still is mentally emotionally abusing me. i keep telling myself that was then this is now he is NOT the same guy in those pictures...some days are hard but i hope oneday they will be totaly gone.

It is strange how situations can change. I am just glad you aren't with him anymore. You don't deserve to be abused emotionally or otherwise. Remember that. I know it is hard, but we can't change people. We want them to be differently than they are. Maybe in time he will get some help.

I am sorry that you have found pictures to open old wounds.

I could not help but notice that you said once again, that he is "and still is mentally emotionally abusing me."

At this point he is able to do this because you allow it. YOU must be proactive and cut off ALL communication with him so he is not able to abuse you! THIS IS YOUR CHOICE NOW, YOU HAVE THE CONTROL TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Block his number from your phone; delete any text before reading it!

DO not contact him for anything!

Do not hang out with people, that hang out with him.

Get a police restraining order if you have to.

Get in control and be proactive!

YOu can do this.
