Hi everyone,
I didn't know a glass of wine could still make you depressed. I do prefer my cuppa tea though. I usually have that when it's a cold evening and it's been a bit cooler recently.
I don't think I'd be half as strong without my little Rhoryboo. He's such a clever, little giggly boy. It was only last week he went onto his tummy and back onto his back. Me and my best friend, who's Rhory's 'aunty' (we're like sisters) squealed with joy and told him what a clever boy he was. My finance never got to see it so I videoed it for him. He loved it. Rhory's trying to crawl but it frustrates him because he can't get anywhere. He's so eager to learn. Even during labour he was eager to get out; it was 4 hours long and he was back to back we found out and I was told to expect at least 24 hours and a possible C section but two hours into it I was wanting to push. It was honestly the best four hours of my life. The pain was horrible but the feeling of knowing I was going to be a mum, was the best feeling ever. He was 9lbs but still tiny looking. Now he's getting on for 20lb.....I can't believe how big he's getting. He is truly like an anti-depressant and always makes me feel happy when I'm sad or been crying. He gives me big boy cuddles if I pick him up when I'm down. It's adorable.
I had actually been to the doctors two weeks ago but all they offered was anti-depressants. The only one I need is Rhory. I usually talk to my best friend about
everything because I trust her so much and she told me she'll always be my counselor but I always say I can't possibly put everything onto her. It wouldn't be fair but the NHS counselors, they're not really what I expect. They're not very friendly or understanding. Maybe counselling in America is a lot better? You'll have to send one to me haha.
I know what the problem is by the end of the day; no money, car or job but at least I'm able to get on a fitness instructor course. My fiance is trying to get into the Police but isn't having too much luck, bless him. He's trying to look for jobs, even as a team leader in Sainsbury's but they've turned him down, even though he was a team leader at Tesco's a few years before. It's really getting hard to find a job round here but we won't give up for the sake of Rhory.
By the way, we were thinking of getting Rhory a pet but didn't know what would be suitable for his age? A dog, we thought wasn't practical until he was at least a toddler. He doesn't have any baby friends because all the mums at baby group left me and Rhory out all the time. It makes me so upset but I thought a little pet would keep him company and show him how to be gentle with animals. He does love collies and westies and pats them on their noses but what do you guys think?
And yeah, I love sewing so much. I couldn't do it as a business though. It would take away the fun and put unnecessary pressure on me. I do gardening too, well hehe when I get the chance to. I make garden ornaments too and paint pots.
Thank you for being so understanding. I really love this forum. It's funny, caring and full of advice.
Annie.
Ps- I love being a mum. Sometimes I feel like a failure to Rhory but I'm trying my hardest to give him a really lovely upbringing, especially in the winter when it's cold and just snuggle up with my children (if we had another baby one day) in front of a coal fire with marsh mallows and a cuppa. I'm a soppy person aren't I? <3
