Jasmine raises hell everytime the phone rings and I have to constantly give her treats to be quiet so I can talk. She seems to know that there is somebody on the other end. It is comical, but frustrating at them time she does it...

I haven't gone out yet, it is cloudy here but I don't think it is cold. I hope to go for my walk soon.

LOL, JB, I am waiting a few weeks. It won't take effect until 1 January, anyway. I am going to let them work out the snags.

Job Fair today. Got my pearls and pumps out.

BF home on government furlow.

Waiting on three packages. Hopefully, UPS will deliver my boric acid today, so I can finally clear up this painful lady problem. Hopefully the post office will deliver my birth certificate, so I can go and change my driver's license and thus my state of residence, and then get the aid I need. The sports bras are no big deal but will be nice. Due to fibro, I do not like pulling over head or rear-closure, for they hurt too much, and I want cotton instead of man-made fabrics. The ones I like are hard to find in stores.

HI GUYS.

I AM VERY TIRED BEEN A LONG DAY. BEEN WILD WET AND BLOODY COLD, AND I HAD TO GO OUT IN IT, BOO!! I MANAGED TO WALK BUTTONS BEFORE THE SKIES openED GOT BACK DONE MY DISHES AND PUT THE RUBBISH OUT.

I HAD AN ARVO APPT WITH THE DOC. I DID MY MENTAL HEALTH PLAN. IT DOES TAKE AWHILE. WE DO AN EXTENSIVE REPORT FOR THE THERAPIST. ALSO YOU DO A K10 AS WELL A CHART THAT YOU TICK HOW YOU ARE FEELING IN THE PAST FOUR WEEKS. I SCORED 35 OUT OF 50. SO A LITTLE UP. I FELL DOWN IN A FEW AREAS. I WILL POST ON THEM LATER. IT IS GOOD TO SEE THE PROBLEM AREAS THAT ARE CAUSING DISTRESS, ETC.

I GOT MY CIGGIE PATCHES. YAY!! I WILL START IN THE MORNING AND WILL BEGIN TO REDUCE THE FAGS AS I GO. THE ARTHRITIS IS REALLY FLARING. THE WIND WAS OVER A HUNDRED K'S AN HOUR AND IT POURED DOWN AND I GOT THE BUS THERE AND HOME AND I WENT TO THE CHEMIST AS WELL. MY MATE WHO IS STAYING WITH ME IS VERY SICK. I ACTUALLY CALLED AN AMBULANCE YESTERDAY. THE SAID TO GO TO THE DOCTOR. HE HAS MASSIVE ABDO PAIN AND THE DOC FOUND A HARD LUMP. HE IS AWAITING FOR A COLONOSCOPY AT THE HOSPITAL, HE IS ON THE URGENT LIST.

HE HURT HIS HEAD WITH A FALL WHILST I WAS OVERSEAS, AND IS HAVING BAD HEAD ACHES. HE HAS NOT EATEN HARDLY ANYTHING IN THE PAST 4 DAYS. HE IS VOMIUTING, FRAIL AND VERY ILL. HE IS VERY DENANDING AND IS STRETCHING THE TETHER SO TO SPEAK. THE DOC HAS OREDERED BLOODS AND CT-CAN AND X-RAY BUT HE HAS NOT MADE THE APPTS YET. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AFTER HIM FOR A LONG TIME AND I AM GETTING TIRED. HE HAS BEEN HERE AT LEAST A MONTH.

I AM GETTING HIM SOME SUSTAGEN IN THE MORNING AND WENT UP AND GOT HIM PAINKILLERS AS WELL. I AM EXPLETIVELY TIRED AS I HAVE MY OWN STUFF GOING ON. YEP I AM ANOTHER YEAR OLDER., OH WELL THAT HAPPENS!! MY SIS AND MY MATE BOTH OWE ME MONEY AND NOTHING, I AM ANGRY AT THIS AS WELL. JUST TOO MUCH GOING ON.

WELL TAKE CARE MY DEAR HW BUDDIES. I WILL CALL MY SHRINK TOMORROW AS I HAVE MY BLOOD BILL HERE THUS THE LAMICTAL RESULTS SHOULD BE IN. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL BUT HE HASN'T. I THINK HE SAID HE WILL BE AWAY. I WILL RING AND SEE. TIME FOR A COFFEE. SORRY I HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND NOW YOU KNOW WHY. NEED SLEEP AND BADLY. THE WINDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CALMER BY FRIDAY, CROSS FINGERS.

Morning all-

My hubby is having foot surgery today and I am with him at the surgical center. There are so many people here that there are no seats left.

I went to fill my Lamictal and abilify yesterday and the abilify was over $650. Needless to say it looks like I'm getting off of abilify. I have a call into my doctor. There is no way I can afford that.

In thing else really going on here. Rain expected today again. I'm taking a few days off to help my hubby since heads to be off his foot for six weeks- yuck!

Michele,

Get on the internet and see if Abilify pays for anything. Sometimes they will offer you a year free. I think it is redicilous that it costs so darn much. It is fairly new though. Within the last few years. If you can't get help with that, risperdol is another good one and I think it has gone generic. Not positive though, but I know it is much cheaper.

Will needymeds help you with any of it? needymeds.org. See if they will help. I am sorry you have run into a brick wall with that. Hopefully the company will help you. Or give you some coupons. I cant' believe that they can charge so much for medications. I am lucky my insurance pays for mine, but last year I had a huge copay. So the doc wrote it for me twice the milligram so I can cut them in two and save money. That is another idea for you. I took the risperdol for quite awhile and I liked it.

Good morning all .........

   Another bright and sunny start to the day here - and pretty mild. It never did rain here yesterday - sure doesn't look like it's in the near future here now either.

   Gizzy was so good this morning. He didn't see one doggie out there ... and he wasn't the least bit obnoxious about it! But, in his morning poo trip - that is to one area of the greenbelt in front of our place - and after the ride ..... someone started banging hard with a hammer on something. Giz thought it was firecrackers ... and wooshh!!! Back to the garage like a flash of lightning - and into the house!

   Got a busy day today ... just hope my chemo side effects don't flare up. Beginning to feel some of them right now!

HEY JAMIEE ... THAT'S THE LONGEST REPLY I'VE SEEN FROM YOU! SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD SIGN.

Hey Karen ... the generic I got of Lexapro was unintelligible on the label. The name is very long - but it does say "common name - Lexapro"!

JB-How'd that website work out? I am still waiting a few weeks. I figure since the insurance won't start until 1 January, we have some time.

Job Fair yesterday was good, I guess. Just sent off two apps, not-for-profit, employment counseling with the disadvantaged. Low pay but high emotional rewards.

Today, job apps, dentist to get my final bridge, and Sams Club. Tomorrow taking Mom and going to visit a friend's mom who is in a rehab place.

The discount cinema has Despicable me II, so we might go see an afternoon movie.

Morning all-

Thanks everyone for the tips on the outta this world abilify med. I will look into everything!

I'm proud of you JB! Improving our appearance can really boos your self esteem. You go! I color my hair every 5 weeks. I'm lucky enough to be able to do it myself. Going to the hairdresser for it is so expensive for me.

Hubby is doing ok. Surgery went fine but the bone spur was much larger than he anticipated. And because of this he had to cut the Achilles muscle on his heel. This means a much longer recovery. He is an insomniac and didn't sleep but 2 hours last night which means that I didn't sleep much. Poor baby is in pain. I think we are going to call the doctor and ask for stronger meds.

I am sorry to hear this about your husband. I hope he feels better soon. You know how men are when they are in pain, just kidding guys... But I feel for you right now...

Good morning all .....

   It was a late morning for Gizzy and me. First ... getting up at 3:30am to watch the last half of a movie on TCM (yesterday was my first day on Lexapro)! Then back to sleep about 5am for two hours ... still tired now!

   But Gizzy did see two dogs ... the border collie across the street (3 howls) and a little 5-pound silver whatever a few blocks away (insane high-pitched barking - non-stop). It was good to get home.

   It's one of those gloomy but mild mornings ... pleasant but not cheerful!

   Michelle .... sorry about your hubby. Cutting into the achilles sounds nasty, painful and long rehab. Wishing you both the best.

   A little short story for you women ........ Many years ago, I happened to see a descriptive story by my daughter - who was about6 or 7-years old at the time. It was graded by one of her teachers and Amber wanted me to read it. You know ..... the absolute honesty of a 6-year old. As I was reading, I couldn't help but notice part of it was about describing herself.

   During that, she described herself as having "dirty blonde" hair! I quietly cried and I laughed at the same time.

   In her early 20-'s ... I saw her experiment with different colors to the point that every time I saw her, I could never guess what color it was going to be!!! Thank God, it was never pink or purple!!! It came real close to orange once ... and all other shades from ash blonde to nearly black ... and including several shades with varying reds.

   She has been pretty stable for the past few years now in a color I think she looks good in - hard to describe but shades of light brown with a slight reddish tint. 

   What is it ......... with you women with hair colors? Not complaining - just wondering!!!

Hey y'all

quick update-sorry if I'm a bummer-lol.

Hub had gallbladder out and they repaired his belly button, which had ruptured, on tuesday. Today it is very swollen (bellybutton) red and purple and VERY painful. Double pill dose is only thing that touches it.

OK my BIL, who fell last week and fractured his skull during one of his drunken outings. He bled into his brain and was sent to New Orleans to Neuro center. He does not know where he is or what's going on. very little speech, mostly sleeping. Eventually he will be discharged and I guess go to a nursing home. My hub has no family left except his alcoholic bro so he is hurting.

NOW, we have Trop storm Karen heading our way. We live up on stilts but Pat's workshop, freezer, mowers etc are downstairs and must be brlought up here. We have a generator so not worried about the storm that much, but is just added stress since hub cannot lift anything and I am pretty useless. I did go get cash and groceries, gas for the grill and the generator. We did find an acquaintance who is moving heavy stuff to earn a few bucks. Thank God!. Katie's homecoming dance is sat, but now who knows!!!

Anyway, say a prayer for us-I am pretty stressed but we'll make it-after Katrina, I know my family is strong

I am sorry about your BIL, that is really too bad.

I bet that is really hard for your husband too. So sorry... I hope that things get better and that you get your stuff moved to higher ground.

Rob, Gizzy is so funny. The little dogs seem to get his attention... I walked Jasmine today. It is nice, was raining earlier, but better now.

Mags, hope hubbie is feeling better, and so sorry to hear about your BIL. It's sounds like a terrible, really awful situation of his own durned making.

Rob, love your doggie descriptions. A few minutes ago, I was barked at by the ancient beagle next door, as I watered my flowers.

My birth cert. came yesterday, so I got my state driver's license today. I am taking my mom to go visit my childhood best friend's mom in rehab. She has some sight issues, so i put together a bouquet of flowering herbs.

Yah!!! Myself!! Things will start dropping into place for you now.

Thanks to you and Karen for yr support. This storm sounds more like lots of property damage but not lethal, thank you Lord. A nuisance storm really. we may be stuck in the house for a couple of days since flood waters recede slowly in this section of the county. So, got good books, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles to occupy our time.

A Homecoming tradition here is for the kids to "roll" your house...throw TP into trees shrubs etc-we got rolled last nite-some aduklts actually get angry but we think it's pretty funny (better than drugs and sex-lol). The storm will take care of the cleanup-lol.

Michelle-OUCH!! for yr hub. Sounds very painful..hope his recovery is short-lived. Glad you won't see TS Karen, tho!

Rob-I guess I am the exception....never colored my hair but my daughter changes her hair like underwear-lol...I'm not sure I get it either. Is your team playing Saints? I've forgotten-is it the Bears?  Our beloved Saints are off to a good start-we shall see....you and I will be trash talking this weekend, I'm sure.  Say hey to Giz-ruff.

JB-good for you. I always feel better if I just put on a little makeup and curl my hair. Those changes are a good morale booster. Good luck on the abilify!

Rob, I currently have a student in one of my college classes who changes her hair color every WEEK! I never know what it's going to be next. And it's harsh colors, not natural ones. It makes me giggle each week.

Hi Myself! Glad you are able to take care of all of your business with your birth certificate. I hope your mom has a good visit with her friend.

Hi Karen and Trina! Are we crocheting lately? I still need to finish my husbands Christmas stocking..... Oh maybe another year of working on it won't hurt!

I ran out of yarn, darn it all... Get it???

It sounds like a lot of things are falling into place for a lot of you. That is good to hear. Though there are still a few road blocks for some of us...

I have been drawing lately. My internet went out for hours yesterday so I finished up my second drawing. I am now on a third. I have been drawing in pen and ink, Native Americans. There is so much expression there. A lot of cool lines and shading. I really enjoy it.

Today is just Jasmine and me. My hubby went fishing with our grandson. I hope that they catch some. I am thinking about baking something but it is rather warm in here. So I am not sure, if it were only a little cooler I would for sure. I can make either an apple pie, a blackberry cobbler or some baked beans. All sound good right now, but like I said, it is kind of warm. Oh well, this weather always makes me want to cook.

It is so pretty out. I went for a walk with Jazzy, the colors on the trees are awesome. I really enjoyed it. Kissed by the sun I call it.

I have 2 lap blanket started for the nursing home, the lighter color one I work on at night, easier to see.

Nice cool morning today, coffee on patio with dogs, Rob Gizzy would love to chase the squirrels and chip monks with my dogs I think.
