falling apart over the smallest things

i had a rough breakup a few months ago. i felt like i was getting over it recently, like i was doing pretty well. then i met a new person and immediately fell for him. we had only met twice and i was already just blown away by him. i thought i could see things going somewhere with him. now it seems like he isnt interested in me anymore. last night i thought i'd give it one more shot and asked if he wanted to do something with me today. no answer. now i feel like a crazy person because of the way i am reacting to rejection from this person i barely know. i completely fell apart last night, i cried more than i have in months. maybe i am projecting lost feelings for my ex onto him? i dont know. and now im letting this affect me so much that im starting to feel totally worthless and terrible about myself and my life in general. any advice would be appreciated..

This is usually difficult in proportion to how disappointed you are that he appears to stop wanting to see you; but a confident and vulnerable woman does not get very invested in the early stages of a relationship, and is not interested in perpetuating things with men who aren't interested enough in her.

This is where you give yourself plenty of time to recover from your break-up with your boyfriend and not feel this man, that you had a few dates with, is fading out of the picture due to something you did wrong.

Keep on moving forward and I know you will feel better once some time has gone by.

Seems like you may have been investing to much into a new relationship.

Do yourself a favor and practice self-compassion, you deserve it. Get to know yourself and what you like.

You have landed in a soft place where people care and support and listen to each other.
