Slow going with the lexapro

So I've been on lexapro now for 8.5 weeks, slowly tapering up to 10mg. I've been on 10mg now for 5 days and have been very anxious with more anxiety and not much relief in depression except from about 7-9pm. Is this common for people to feel a tad bit better in the evenings? Mornings are brutal and days are not so great. I'm just trying to be patient with the lexapro...I must be a slow responder but I really hope I'm not spinning my wheels here and waiting to be fixed by this medication. Just would like some relief.

This is normally my most stressful time of day trying to get 3 kids to bed...now it's when I feel my best. I'm so hoping this wil start to seep into my afternoons as well and get better. Ive been going to bed the past few nights thinking it can't be that bad in the morning tomorrow and bam, back to the dreaded anxiety and depression pit in my stomach at 6am.

Hi LynCha how are you doing on the Lexapro? I have been taking the Lexapro for 11 weeks. On the full 10 mg for 5 weeks. I felt anxious more days then other, no energy felt zombified. My doctor changed me to Celexa for cost reasons. I have been on it for 2 days. I was scared at first about new side effects, but so far I feel happier and a little more energy. I'm hoping this will be the best med for me. Hang in there and don't give up, you will find the old you.
