Hello .......
What you said at the end of your last post I think is a very common misconception. That is about "going to a counselor"!!!
In fact, just last night i had a talk with one of my daughters about that exact thing. It went something like "those who need the counseling the most are so often the ones who think it's only for crazy people"! And it has practical applications in my own family.
What you have described certainly sounds like depression. I don't think one has to feel sad to qualify. But ..... seeing a counselor or a therapist or a psychologist is the best way to start working on the problem - after first identifying the problem.
Think of it this way ..... if you had a stomach ache that wouldn't go away - would you go out and experiment with medication ..... or would you first go to a doctor to identify what the problem likely is - then get his prescription for the most likely medication needed?
Please consider seeing a psychologist for at least a couple of visits!
